“Style is NOTHING. But Nothing is without STYLE.”-Blanche Fleur

German brand Blanche Fleur was kind enough to give us a preview of their new Spring/Summer 2012 loungewear and nightwear lines. This season is characterized by four collections with varying themes but harmonious cuts all targeting the young, fashion-conscious consumer. You will find bright colors and bold prints inspired from the Black Forest, impressions from the United States, and concepts derived from the jungle.

Petit Ècureui (Little Squirrel)
This collection was inspired by a wintery walk through the Black Forest. Sporty cuts are made unique with rustic detailing such as sleeve patches on the elbows of long-sleeved shirts and heart-shaped pockets on printed trousers. The range is topped off with a cuddly coat featuring a cozy hood. Most of the pieces feature a squirrel print/motif. The designer Natalie Bordere noticed a growing trend within the interior and accessories sectors, seeing many designs with squirrels, and incorporated the idea into this collection proving that styles from other industries can be combined and mixed for use in apparel design.

Charmed Wood
Charmed Wood is a light, understated collection featuring adaptable pieces that are designed to match perfectly with one another. You will find no complicated designs but rather simple silhouettes with a batik look and cuddly terry stripes to create the ultimate range of good-mood outfits. Many of the pieces are found in a bright sunny yellow. As designer Natalie Bordere puts it when asked if summer were to be a color, what would it be, “…it would have to be yellow! Warm sunbeams, juicy lemons, voluptuous sunflowers and the color of light create a whole range of associations during the warmer seasons.”

Jeans Love!-Summer Denim
This collection focuses on simple forms with small details and attention to quality. The pieces are very sporty and playful. Inspiration for the collection came from Natalie’s observation of how jeans were spotlighted at many of the international fashion shows and the revival of 1950′s style. Key pieces in the Jeans Love!-Summer Denim collection include beautifully cut baseball jackets and jeans-style trousers. You will find that many of these pieces are so artfully made that they can be worn as daywear.

Hypnotic Zebra- Jungle
With inspiration derived from the jungle, this collection is particularly lively and cheeky having the motto: “I am a zebra, take me home!” You will find a range of cuts within this collection from skimpy shorts to palazzo trousers all characterized by a brightly-colored inkjet print. In addition, buyers and consumers will find long shirts that can double as short summer dresses and skirts in the nightwear line that can be worn to create a casual day look perfect for lounging on the couch or heading to the beach.
