Science Fiction, leather and lingerie come together in FYI’s latest collection – The Replicant.

“…In science fiction, replicants are often indistinguishable from natural humans. They are however, bred to be stronger and more perfect. This season FYI imagines such a woman isolated by technology, who rebels against her social confinement,” said Dani Read, designer and founder of FYI. “Destruction, chaos and beauty ensue. The collection features lingerie and lounge wear, along with our widest selection yet of luxury leather bondage and fetish accessories.”

The sci fi geeks in all of us will love how Dani has named each piece in the collection after a science fiction character. Dani noted that a bra and panties set within the collection is named after Sommi from David Mitchell’s Cloud Atlas.

The Replicant made its debut earlier this month here in NYC at a private event which included the collection’s video lookbook premiere.

In the video (shown below), you can see the collection in action. It’s quickly becoming one of the most replayed videos in the TLJ studios.

In other news, Dani recently announced that FYI by Dani Read is making the transition to Detroit.

“It’s a big move and I’m really excited about it,” said Dani. “There’s just an incredible opportunity to collaborate with other artists and an incredible amount of space. I felt that it was now or never. There are a lot of opportunities in Detroit that I don’t want to miss out on.”
