I know most of us are just starting to think about our Thanksgiving menus, but the holiday retail season is already in full swing. November through February is the busiest season for lingerie brands and retailers, which means that getting started early can make a difference in terms of profits, stress levels and social media marketing. If you’re still thinking about how to reach out to customers this holiday season, here are five places to start.
5 Holiday Lingerie Marketing Plan Tips

1. Work on your holiday product descriptions early.
If you do nothing else this week, make sure to update your holiday product descriptions and put up a holiday themed photo on the front page of your website. Even if you’re not completely organized yet, Google can start crawling your site for holiday related keywords and take that into account for your site ranking. This will make a big difference as shoppers start searching for that perfect gift, even if it’s after Thanksgiving.
2. Plan out your gift guides in advance.
In a perfect world, you’ll be able to product more than one gift guide for your blog or newsletter. Make sure to cover multiple size ranges, style preferences and body types in your gift guides. Also make sure to think beyond the basics: red lingerie is great, but lots of people also use the holidays as a time to invest in a luxurious robe or a classic pair of pajamas.
Crème Bralée offers two new styles, Olivia & Josie, at a 12% discount to wholesale buyers until Nov 25, 2014. Details HERE.
3. Network with bloggers.
Bloggers often put together their own gift guides at this time of year, which means they’re searching for products that are a good fit for their readers. If you have new holiday offerings or specialized gift sets, make sure to send a short and polite email around letting bloggers know about it.
4. Come up with a plan for holiday content.
While gift guides will fill several of your content spots, it helps to have a content plan in advance of the busiest time of year. This can be as simple as deciding that certain types of posts will go with certain day of the week, writing several blog posts in advance or hiring someone to manage it for you. For instance, even if you aren’t quite set up for the holidays yet, it’s easy to decide that your blog will feature a new lingerie set every Tuesday for the next month.
5. Plan a giveaway.
Giveaways can be a great way to spread the word about your latest products. While it’s easy to set up a basic giveaway through services like Rafflecopter, you can also get creative with photo sharing platforms like Instagram. Either way, it’s a great way to build your customer base and share some of your best product images.
