Lille Boutique is celebrating its 5 year anniversary with a series of events in the first week of May, including a VIP party, 1st Friday Artist’s Reception, Dance Party and Breast Cancer Fundraiser.  On Thursday, May 3rd, Lille will kick off the festivities with a private, invitation-only VIP Party with exclusive discounts from 6-9pm.  On Friday, May 4th,  from 6-9pm, Lille Boutique will host an artist’s reception for the opening of “Dreams in the Daytime,” a selection of illustrations by Julianna Swaney.  The anniversary celebration will culminate on Saturday, May 5, 2012, from 6-9pm at Holocene, where Lille Boutique will be hosting a fundraiser for The National Breast Cancer Foundation.

The event will include a fashion installation with models displaying the latest Lille collections, video projection of our collaborations with filmmaker Justin Koleszar for Stella McCartney Lingerie, musical entertainment from DJ Hannukah Miracle, and signature cocktails donated by House Spirits.  Lille will be giving away $1000 in Gift Certificates throughout the evening, with raffle tickets available for donations to The National Breast Cancer Foundation.  Patrons wearing Lille merchandise to the party will get a free raffle ticket, so all attendees will have a chance to win.

Ms. Swaney, a Michigan native, attended the Maine College of Art, where she obtained her BFA in 2005. She has since shown her work in galleries around the country and been published in several magazines, including Martha Stewart Weddings, Uppercase, and Tin House.  Her illustrations were featured in the book “Menagerie” by Sharon Montrose.  The work on display for “Dreams in the Daytime” was inspired by Swaney’s Midwestern adolescence.
