What better way to wake up on a Wednesday morning than to find a batch of exquisite images from Ombrato’s SS13 collection sitting in your inbox? After scrolling through the pictures it definitely made me consider ditching my normal work attire for these lovely pieces that can transition between lounge and daywear.

Just this past spring Masako Shirokawa, designer and creator of luxury loungewear and sleepwear company Ombrato, showcased her pieces at our Designer Showcase stunning us all with her simple, sophisticated cuts with unique details. It thrills us that she has agreed to join us again for our next Designer Showcase August 5th-8th at the AKA Hotel (123 W 44th St.). Definitely stop by for a chance to see her gorgeous designs in person.

About the Label
Ombrato means “take it easy” in Japanese. The brand prides itself on creating simple, elegant, and comfortable sleep and lounge wear using high quality materials. Masako Shirokawa takes her inspiration from clean and understated elements of Japanese aesthetics. The designs of her pieces are streamlined but maintain a sense of femininity and wonder. Ombrato consistently blurs the line between inner wear and outer wear as the company aims to offer pieces that can effortlessly travel between both worlds. Based in New York City, all of Ombrato’s garments are manufactured locally.

SS13 Collection
For Spring/Summer 2013, Ombrato introduces lounge wear with the Liberty of London seasonal collection. You’ll find stripes in muted colors and nature inspired patterns that are truly unique as well as pieces using lace fabric and English stretch net in addition to charmeuse and chiffon.
