“The name Integer comes from the Latin term ‘something whole’ or complete. Which for me was a nice term to use to finish off the collection.” – Rebecca Torres.
Drop a pebble into a pond and you’ll see a pattern of ripples radiate outwards across the water’s surface. If you’ve ever marveled at this phenomena, you’ll know that mathematics is at play determining how high, long and far the swells spread.
Many, including designer Rebecca Torres, find this hidden world of numbers fascinating and her first swimwear collection, Integer, is inspired by Mathematical Terms. Expressed visually, these terms have their own unique shape or angle and by exploring and combining them, Rebecca created the beautiful prints that grace each style.
“Vertex is when two curves, lines or edges meet. And for that particular print I felt that reflected that shape.” – Rebecca Torres.
The result is a collection of four ranges named after a mathematical term: Apex, Eclipse, Scalar, and Vertex. Within each range, stylish options like Swimsuits, Bikinis and a Kaftan await sun worshipers. And, just in time for the upcoming summer season, Integer is available for sale on the brand’s website ecommerce site and will be available to view at the upcoming Lingerie Edit (July 14 – 15, 2016).

Other styles within the Rebecca Torres Integer swimwear collection include the Apex One Shoulder Swimsuit that showcases a stunning contrast in solid colors and a beautiful, vibrant print. The Eclipse swimsuit features a scoop back and an energizing print in a sea of black (pictured above). The Scalar swimsuit also shares the brand’s signature scoop back, but shines with an orange multi print.
“We are a brand that celebrates colour, print and great design with good quality. Our designs are sleek, contemporary with a nod to the futuristic times of the 60s.” – Rebecca Torres.
The Vertex Cross Over Top (pictured above) is another stunning piece with a stunning neck line, bold cross hatch print, and removable cups and is made from 80% nylon, 20% Lycra; lining: 100% polyester. It’s one of the pieces we reported as a stand out during the Paris show last summer. The Apex range also offers a cross over top style alongside a triangle bikini option.
