Another aspect of Bella Bella Boutique that we love, is Aline’s support of independent designers, new brands and photographers. Early on, Bella Bella Boutique established great relationships with designer and photographers. This led to Aline helping create the National Directory of Boudoir Photographers; and, most recently, Aline announced her boutique’s exclusive relationship with The Association of International Boudoir Photographers. Could you tell us a little bit about National Directory of Boudoir Photographers?
When did you start this project?
Periodically, I was getting asked for referrals for Boudoir Photographers in my area and then I had the idea of developing a Boudoir Photographers Referral Directory with a National reach. It took about four months to complete since I had to research and take the time to look into hundreds of portfolios to pick only the very best. The Directory was launched on our Blog on February 2010 and it was a success! The Directory is periodically updated with new referrals and portfolio reviews are always welcome.

What was the inspiration that led to the Directory?
The inspiration was simply to assist those looking for a source of well selected and hand picked boudoir photographers. But I have to say I love creative and inspirational images and I love art!

Directory Developments

As you’ve described the directory on the blog, it has really grown in terms of listings and also popularity with the directory leading to business for these photographers. Could you expand on the opportunities you’ve helped create and the artistic results?
We have collaborated with many photographers assisting with the selection of lingerie pieces and boudoir accessories for a client’s photoshoot. With the recent partnership with AIBP [Association of International Boudoir Photographers] we will expand that reach and will start featuring and promoting those talented boudoir photographers on our Blog thru interviews and spotlight posts. A new feature will be added to the Blog soon to devote a special place to them.

With the recent news that the network has grown and Bella Bella Boutique being a huge part of its growth, could you tell us more about your boutique’s role as the exclusive and solely lingerie boutique for AIBP [Association of International Boudoir Photographers]?
I was delighted with the news from AIBP President and Founder, Erin Zahradka, announcing that she had chosen Bella Bella Boutique to be the exclusive and solely lingerie boutique for the AIBP – what a huge honor.

Bella Bella Boutique role is to support all members of AIBP thru special collaborations which is exclusive for the members and by also promoting them on our Blog (to start soon). We will also support them by assisting the photographer’s clients in choosing the lingerie pieces and accessories for their photo shoot. And, of course, a VIP discount code for a bit of motivation for members and their clients only.

What kind of opportunities does this open up for you and your customers?
For the customers – the opportunity to assist them with a personalized service to help them pick the right lingerie pieces to suit their body type and taste and their boudoir photo session concept. Also, we have teamed up with some key lingerie designers to produce pieces of lingerie by request for those clients who prefer made-to-measure pieces to assure an outstanding fit and look.

Speaking of your customers, they can also expect so more news from Bella Bella Boutique, correct? You’re in the process of updating/redesigning your boutique’s blog?
Yes! This has been a long wish and it is in the concept stage right now – we’re having so many ideas and it’s all super exciting!

Could you give us some insight into the blog’s new features and what your fans can expect?
I want to make it educational and inspirational as well, so I want to bring a Psychologist and a Fitness Expert to join the team as well as recruiting new guest writers/bloggers.

Beyond the blog, what’s next for Bella Bella Boutique? Would you ever open a brick-and-mortar store? Any community outreach and/or charity events your involved with?
We will continue to grow by adding new designers and new products often. There are so many opportunities and opening a brick-and-mortar boutique is one of them, but our ultimate mission is to grow online for now – the opportunities here are enormous. About our community outreach, Bella Bella Boutique is often referred via word of mouth and via local Facebook Groups. We’re also involved with local events by donating gift certificates and products for swag bags.
