Shell Belle Couture’s SS13 collection, Swan Song, embraces the Golden Era of fashion, luxury and elegance with more timeless, vintage-inspired pieces that look like they walked off the pages of The Great Gatsby.

“Our new collection includes Rendezvous for bridal & special occasion. Anais for our vintage lace & silk indulgence & The Great Gatsby Gold Leavers Lace gently styled with Silk Crepe de Chine,” said designer Michelle Blenkinsopp. “Enjoy a languid summer with beautiful shades of forgotten Aristocracy including Butter, Bluebird & our signature Pink Champagne & Gold.”

Michelle added that the new collection introduces her exclusive Vintage Silk print “Swan Song” which embraces the 1930’s love of Swans and their Regal association. “This evocative print is for both lounging & swimwear in Powdered Rose with soft Grey Swans in flight.”

Through Michelle’s latest designs, we were able to see some of the lingerie trends we’re noticing and trends that she herself is influencing with this refined collection reminiscent of a 1930’s love affair.

Vintage lace
It’s no secret we love lace but there is something special about the vintage inspired lace of Shell Belle’s collection. You can see the beautiful, handcrafted, rich lace throughout all the pieces in their collection and we absolutely adore it. We hardly get to see this fine type of lace in the lingerie collections of today and it looks like it’s going to make a great comeback in this collection.

Cream
Between all the vintage lace and smooth silk, most of Shell Belle’s most beautiful and notable creations were all dipped in cream. While Pink Champagne may be their color, we loved the creamed colored intimates and how they flatter any skin tone. This shade makes every design look as elegant and sophisticated as the next. We have a new favorite color to add to our lingerie collection.

Silk Prints
With the debut of their new collection, Shell Belle introduces their vintage silk print that creates a bold new look with a splash of vivid color that’s away from their subtle retro designs. The provocative powered rose with grey swans, known as the Swan Song, creates the vision of an eternal summer romance that is as perfect as a 1930s love story. It’s a lovely new addition to stunning collection.
