What Katie Did Blogger Lock-In
Vintage lingerie brand, What Katie Did hosted a Lock-In at their London Boutique on Portobello Road on Thursday 25th May for a preview of their new Emily lingerie. The event was sponsored by Pinkster Gin, and guests sipped delicious raspberry gin and tonics and ate macaroons as they tried on beautiful vintage inspired designs.
Attending the event were models including Miss Deadly Red, Sam Elson (better known as the pinup and mental health blogger @blossomandbuttercups) and Miss Velvet Jones, who took part in a photoshoot in the Boutique before the doors officially opened. The trio wore the latest designs from What Katie Did, including the new retro-inspired Coleen and Emily designs, and the iconic Glamour Nouveau Corselette; a vintage-inspired shaping body that is one of WKD’s bestselling pieces. They also modelled the new range of 1930s style loungewear, which is proving very popular this year.
Guests included bloggers Georgina of Fuller Figure Fuller Bust, Nora Finds, Hettie Sky, Lori of Greyhound Vintage, Lady Eccentrik, Soda Fontaine, Hayley Stewart (Curves and Curls UK), and boudoir photographer Tigz Rice. As well as What Katie Did’s newest lines, the Lock-In was also an opportunity for bloggers and models of all shapes and sizes to give their input to the design team. With the release of new size 20 and 22 lingerie scheduled for later this year, WKD welcomed advice on the samples of their lingerie, which were very well received and with a few tweaks should be out soon! Elsewhere, many took the opportunity to be fitted for What Katie Did’s iconic corsets. Katie Thomas, Founder of What Katie Did said, “This event is a wonderful opportunity to bring together some of the best-known bloggers we work with, to hear their views on our product, and enable them to have a preview of what we will be releasing in the coming months.”
The evening finished with a goody bag of WKD’s Spring Selection Stockings, and a set of lingerie for each of the guests.
