Ajour SS18 Lingerie Collection
“This collection shows how lingerie can beautifully frame and highlight the body.” – Ajour.
If you’re starving for inspiration, walk through the New York Botanical Garden. Brilliant pinks, yellows, purples and blue dot the living museum’s landscape. Flower’s show off their intricate designs and perfect form.

And it seems that lotuses, orchids and vines and their infinite shapes and textures are the driving Muses for the Ajour SS18 Lingerie Collection. The brand’s design team is known for elegant, yet sensual designs. The brand also assures their customers and consumers that creativity doesn’t get in the way of fit either.
For the upcoming Spring/Summer season, Ajour presents its collection in two parts: Lingerie and Sexy Lingerie.

The Lingerie collection features eight lines: Shelly, Changeux, Brontë, Hawkins, Voynich, McCullough, Oliver, and Meyer. Some of the stand outs include Changeux with its ornate purple lace, sheer fabrics and subtle details. Oliver and its lush green leaf lace pattern turned A LOT of heads at CURVENEWYORK and is one of our favorite sets for SS18.

Flowers take center stage in the brand’s Meyer line (pictured at the start of this feature) and feels like the best example to showcase this season’s collection. (No wonder the brand picked this style to grace their look book’s cover!)
Did you know: the Voynich manuscript is an illustrated codex hand-written in an unknown writing system. The manuscript features gorgeous illustrations of herbs, flowers, strange symbols and women wearing crowns.
Standing in stark contrast to the floral-inspired lines is Voynich — an all black selection of two bra styles and knickers featuring undulating lace and a chain embellishment (pictured above).
At CURVENEWYORK, the brand’s booth was consistently busy at the event with a model showcasing several looks from SS18 and other collections. If you missed AJOUR at CURVE, don’t worry, we’ve included a generous image gallery at the end of this story for our readers to enjoy.
The lines Changeux, Voynich, Sand, Beauvoir, Hawkins, Lessing, Sagan (pictured above) make up the brand’s Sexy Lingerie offering. The styles are racier, but are also elegant to stand with other pieces from their main line or other brands at a boutique.
We loved last season’s photoshoot showcasing this collection with Ajour’s model photographed against silk sheets. This time around, the brand’s creative team does away with a background and instead focuses on the garments with crisp and perfectly lit images. We’ll make sure to report on this collection with another stand-alone story, so check back for that feature.
