Allettare Presents Fall/Winter 2019 Collection
O ne of the best things about entering into another calendar season – apart from witnessing nature’s wonderful diversity – is experiencing the updated collections within the lingerie industry. Additional styles or even subtle changes in color, fabrics, trimmings and themes can up a brand’s seasonal relevance and take it to the forefront of the new fashion scene.
Armed with this knowledge, Allettare designer Tran Ta is already transitioning her reimagined brand into FW19, under three main narratives – The Minimalist, The Romantic and The Bride. While these featured themes fit snugly into Allettare’s pre-existing market categories of Basic, Fashion and Bridal, Tran has extracted them in order to ignite the brand with a flair of her own personal sense of novelty and a desire to create that feeling of variety of choice that will take the Allettare woman effortlessly through the coming season.
“My personal style changes every day because it all depends on my mood. I have that same attitude towards my lingerie.”
“I put those three main elements [The Minimalist, The Romantic and The Bride] in my brand to show diversification in my styles,” Tran says.
Highlighting the power of less equals more is the Forza Underwire Mesh Bra, a great addition to Allettare basics and a fitting representation of minimalism. The designer’s love for both simplicity and details are evident in this style.
“As much as I love lace, I also love mesh,” Tran says. “I added a strap detail to the center gore and back panty to make it a little more interesting.”
Forza’s seamless black stretch mesh offers the ultimate touch of unfussed discretion, but the aesthetic of this bra cannot be underestimated. The alluring cutout at the bra’s bridge is the perfect complement to keep this style clean-cut yet sexy for those who prefer their foundation garments as understated beauty.
Getting basic and essential bras right is especially close to Tran’s heart—her vision is to create pieces that are underpinned by function and longevity, serving as affordable go-to pieces for women on the go.
There’s always an essence of romance to every season and Allettare’s most popular style, Rialto, is the flagship style for bringing that mood to FW19. This beautiful bralette charms with its elaborate floral lace motif paired with an edgy caged back strap detail, which is mirrored in the matching underwear, both of which would create a stunning silhouette under transparent cover-ups.
Key themes like decorative and delicate lace, sheer fabrics that endorse the look and feel of bare skin, non-traditional cut and flirtatious finishes that entice the imagination feature prominently in Allettare’s version of The Romantic and will be most apparent in the brand’s fashion section. Besides Rialto, lovers of this theme are sure to fall head over heels in love this FW season for styles such as Gia, a gorgeous triangle bralette of exquisite Italian lace and the captivating contrasted visual of Sofia in nude tulle against black lace, accompanied by daring crotchless bottoms.
The vintage-inspired Chloe bralette set should also spark love at first sight amongst brand fans. Its appearance in sheer tulle conveys the impression of delicacy, soft femininity and the need for a light touch but this piece, with tempting tie-side undies, is meant for the teaser and the playful.
Winter’s bride will have her pick of befitting Allettare pieces which now include the positively precious and versatile La Sirene Bustier, portraying expertly crafted hand appliquéd lace and layers of tulle. Its molded cups should provide the ideal silhouette under a bridal gown paired with high waist briefs or even as an outerwear garment to be seen as part of the wedding day outfit.
The addition of this accidental piece is a testament to Tran’s commitment to the redirection of her brand as a more visible participant in the bridal market.
“I was asked to design a wedding dress for a friend. The bustier was part of it, and I never intended to have it as part of the collection,” she explains the irony.
Luckily La Sirene joins other designated bridal pieces including the delightfully flirty ribbon back Flora bra and the Maddie triangle bralette, known for its eye-catching sequins that are sure to bring out the sparkle in any bride’s eyes.
Tran’s main goal for FW19 is to give women desirable, luxurious and budget-friendly choices that they can enjoy whatever the season brings.
“I want brand fans to get that we offer diversity in styles,” she states. “Whatever you’re feeling at the moment, there’s something for you. You can feel strong and powerful in the Forza set (Italian for strength and power) or you can feel soft [and] feminine in something like the Chloe or Flora.”
Allettare lingerie ranges up to DD cup and XL on some pieces.
