Altitude Trade Show Announces Seminar Schedule

Altitude Intimates Trade Show, which will take place April 8-10, 2019 at the Paris Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada released its schedule of seminars to be held during the Lingerie Trade Show.

Altitude Show Organizer, Val Jones announced “With more than 60 exhibitors and hundreds of attendees, the Altitude Show is already a success based upon early attendee registrations. The Trade Show opens Monday morning, April 8th starting with a Fashion Show followed by a slate of informative seminars dedicated to helping Altitude attendees improve their respective businesses.”

Key Seminars include a roundtable on “Top Current Fashion Trends from Industry Leaders” including Susan Feldman of DG Brands/Dreamgirl, Pilar Quintana Williams of Yandy, Angela Tobon of Mapalé, Judy Valentine of J. Valentine and Sara Salazar of Hustler.

Other seminars focus on the increasing importance of Digital Ecommerce in the industry include “How Dropship is Accelerating Retail’s Digital Revolution” by Travis Mariea of Inventory Source and “Growing your Business in the Digital Age” by Professor Lew Jaffe of Loyola Marymount University.

The slate of seminars opens with an overview of the “Top issues, challenges and trends for the retail & wholesale intimate apparel industry in 2019” presented by a group of leaders including Jeff Watton, Co-CEO of Yandy with a focus on Digital and Ecommerce and Ted Luymes, Attorney, focusing on Legal issues.

An overview of the entire industry will first be presented by Christopher C. Scharff, long time intimate apparel industry veteran. “Helping Altitude attendees improve their respective businesses as well as keeping them informed about key fashion trends through fashion shows and seminars are among the many reasons why Altitude Intimates is the leading trade show within the industry,” says Scharff.

Christopher C. Scharff is an apparel industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience leading organizations and driving collaboration & creativity among dynamic, talented, senior level team members. Mr. Scharff is the former Chief Executive Officer & Controlling Shareholder of DG Brands/Dreamgirl International and has been involved with such well known organizations as BCBG Max Azria, St. John Knits, and the Movado Group. In addition, Mr. Scharff has participated in the restructuring & rebuilding of distressed organizations including serving on the Chapter 11 Creditor’s Committee of several well-known retailers within the lingerie industry.
Mr. Scharff is a founding Member of Altitude Intimates & a former Member of the Board of Directors of the Halloween Industry Association and Lingerie Industry Association. Mr. Scharff graduated with honors with a Master’s in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley.

Jeff Watton Jeff Watton, Co-CEO, Yandy
Jeff Watton joined Phoenix-based, ecommerce giant, as Chief Financial and Operating Officer in 2016 and is now the Co-CEO. At Yandy, Jeff is responsible for the company’s strategic financial growth, managing relationships with equity and debt stakeholders and general company operations. Jeff has executive oversite of key departments within Yandy including merchandising, accounting, human resources, customer service and fulfillment.

Jeff has 9 years of industry experience and is no stranger to driving ecommerce growth. Prior to joining Yandy, Jeff served as Vice President of Finance at Spiritual Gangster, a leading yoga apparel brand. He also served as Senior Manager of Finance for Tallwave, a consulting agency for technology companies, and as a Professor of Finance at Grand Canyon University.

Jeff received his MBA with an emphasis in finance and his PhD ABD from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA). Jeff resides in Phoenix with his wife (Brooke) and son (Ryker).

Since 2012, Ms. Quintana-Williams has been employed at, one of the leading online lingerie and specialty apparel retailers in North America.
Ms. Quintana-Williams began her career at Yandy as the Merchandise Director and was promoted to Vice President of Merchandising in 2015. Prior to the start of her tenure at Yandy, Ms. Quintana-Williams held numerous merchandising positions with other well-known specialty & department store retailers including Dillards. Ms. Quintana-Williams received her fashion & merchandising education from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles. Recently married, Ms. Quintana-Williams and her husband currently reside in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Angela Tabon Angela Tobon, CEO Mapalé Lingerie & Resort
Angela E. Tobon is the CEO of Mapalé Lingerie & Resort, an International Company recognized for its quality products and edgy designs.

Angela completed her college education studying in South America, Australia, and United States before completing her Masters in International Business Administration (IMBA) in the city of Miami. This international education and exposure to different markets have allowed her to grow both her company and the brand throughout the world. Bringing a unique understanding of the creative and commercial sides of fashion, Angela has successfully led an International team that has been able to adapt its production, operations, and commercialization to the highly dynamic business environment brought about by technology, globalization, and evolving customer behaviors.

As a result of her ability to identify business opportunities, fashion trends and to translate an accomplished team of designers’ vision into distinctive and impressive collections, she has positioned Mapalé as a leader and trendsetter in the Intimates and other apparel-related industries.

Judy Valentine Judy Valentine, Owner, J. Valentine, Inc.
Judy Valentine is owner and head designer at J. Valentine, Inc. She started the company in 1994 with only a love of art and pop culture to fuel her passion. Her unexpected approach to design has garnered her great respect over the years, and her commitment to the Made in USA label has led to many followers. She is currently focused on Festival fashion, which has come natural to her as she is a hippie at heart. She is a supporter of LGBTQ rights and also an animal activist.

Sara Salazar Sara Salazar, Principal Lingerie and Apparel Buyer, HUSTLER Hollywood
Sara is the principal lingerie and apparel buyer for HUSTLER Hollywood. Sara’s experience started with stints at Hot Topic and Trashy Lingerie. For the latter, she worked as a liaison directly bridging Hollywood celebrities and Trashy Lingerie designers to create custom pieces that have been featured in major publications, TV, and film and of course, behind closed boudoir doors.

Sara has grown sales within the intimate apparel department since first arriving at HUSTLER Hollywood and is pushing to make the company one of the fastest growing adult boutiques in the U.S. Her partnership with major brands and a dedicated vision have proved a lasting relationship with all things leather and lace.

Sara is an LA native, and her unique vision is formed out of her love of art and design, entomology and of course her loving cat Newt.
