This fierce and ferocious black haired feline has strutted her way to top of the burlesque scene with a string of awards tucked under her bodice, including: ‘First Runner Up Miss Burlesque Australia 2013’, ‘Most Likely To Take Over The World’ at the Busties 2013 and ‘Black Cherry Burlesque Knockout Competition Winner 2011’.

“Amber & Indigo is a brand for women who want to release their alter-ego and embrace a strong and sexy aesthetic. The backstory is all in the name: Amber represents the sweet, feminine and innocent side, while Indigo struts into the dark, saucy and risque. So when we went looking for a brand ambassador, Frankie Faux was a natural fit; she encapsulates both worlds perfectly.” Said Bonnie Stevenson-Wright, Amber & Indigo founder and lead designer:
“I was inspired to create pieces that combined an element of femininity with the performance aspect of undressing, to that special moment when a lady peels back the layers to something beautiful, dark and exotic.”
The brand’s latest retail collection merges high fashion with burlesque elements, drawing on the dark and exotic aesthetics of Amber & Indigo and combining this with the theatrics of Frankie Faux. The collection name was inspired by the newest addition to Frankie Faux’s family, her pet snake Beatrix. The result of this collaboration is a perfect pairing of two fiery alter-egos who have established their unique style within the lingerie and performance industries.

“There’s a bit of sweetness and racy sexiness in every woman. With this new collection, I was inspired to create pieces that combined an element of femininity with the performance aspect of undressing, to that special moment when a lady peels back the layers to something beautiful, dark and exotic.” added Bonnie.

To that end, the brand’s latest collection includes: a front tying bow bra that opens up to reveal laser cut pasties or a hedonistic harness and a bondage inspired thong combined with soft feminine bows. The collection is designed to be layered with other pieces from the range, or work in with one’s own pieces – so a woman can build up a unique look, and then strip it back for the full performance element.
