Avery Rose: 2019 Year in Review
It’s been a stellar year for lingerie brand Avery Rose. Designer, Jennifer Coll kicked off 2019 with a brand new collection of soft, luxurious and ultra-wearable bralettes encrusted with fine jewelry trimmings. As the year went on, Coll didn’t slow down. She introduced silk camisoles and slip dresses in the spring, just in time to be scooped up for sultry summer nights. As August fizzled into September, Avery Rose made an appearance on the catwalk as part of Malena Belafonte’s The Journey Fashion Festival during New York Fashion Week.
Here a look back at some of the best moments in lingerie from the Avery Rose brand.
Fresh, New Styles Arrive from Avery Rose
Avery Rose, the Los Angeles-made brand with a flair for embellishment, is back with a new collection. Some lucky buyers experienced these styles at CURVENEWYORK last month.
The new line stays true to the original Avery Rose style of blending sophisticated style with a hint of sparkle. However, it also introduces something new—the brand’s first range of wired bras. And along with them, a newly-expanded size range that goes up to a DD cup. Read more.
Avery Rose Camisole Review
As an avid lingerie aficionado, lingerie as outerwear is pretty much my mantra. So I was delighted to hear Avery Rose expanded its offerings from bras and panties to include loungewear. I received the Carrie cami and short set to try, and was not disappointed. (Ok I MAY have squealed in delight. You’ll get it once you hold an Avery Rose piece in your hand.) “The idea came to me when wearing a silk top out one evening, that they are ‘meant to be seen’ just like my lingerie,” Jen says. “I couldn’t wait to wear my silk cami both around the house and dressed up for a night out.” Read more.
Avery Rose Slip Dress Review
Bias cut silk—there is nothing better in this world. The slinky, body-hugging material transforms any woman into a total bombshell. When I glide into the slip dress it falls smoothly over my curves, the cut of the silk so perfect it never feels tight or like you have to adjust it. Airy, barely-there lightweight silk grazes over the body and hugs every curve in just the right way. I was fearful such lightweight silk would show every lump, bump, or imperfection, but even in white, the dress proved not to be see-through at all. The slip is also offered in classic black silk, so rich it shimmers like the midnight sky. I’m truly in awe of the quality. I’ve owned a lot of silk lingerie but nothing in my life has felt like this. Read more.
Catwalk to Closet: Styling Avery Rose as Eveningwear
Avery Rose has made its catwalk debut, as part of Malena Belafonte’s The Journey Fashion Festival during New York Fashion Week.
“It was the perfect backdrop,” Avery Rose founder Jennifer Coll said about the Duane Park location, a glamorous burlesque venue that’s every bit as ornate as her signature embellished straps. Plus, it’s in New York. “I’m a former New Yorker,” she says, “and a lot of my retailers and customers are there as well as a few of my factories. I was able to invite and finally meet one of my e-commerce partners in person which was so great.” Read more.
