Bare Necessities Launches Google Interactive Swim Catalog

Bare Necessities Digital Swim Catalog

BareNecessities.com recently launched their new Google Interactive Swim Catalog for 2012 and joins a small but growing list of intimate apparel brands and retailers leveraging Google’s interactive catalog app.

The interactive catalog can be viewed online or through a dedicated catalog app available for tablet devices and features swim styles offered through Bare Necessities and Bare Plus.

The interactive catalog, as the name implies, allows customers to view, swipe thru pages, pull up product details and shop through the catalog.

Small price tag icons indicate what products have details and shopping info. The app is easy to download and install on a tablet device and browsing feels very natural with swipe gestures. We’ve embedded the catalog here for our readers to look through and experience.

Other brands and retailers that have taken advantage of Google’s interactive catalog include Frederick’s of Hollywood, Lane Bryant, Leonisa, Nordstrom, Wacoal and Spanx amongst others.

Google launched their interactive catalog app in August 2011 and is currently only available for iPad and Android tablets. Touted as a “Greener Way to Shop”, the service is aimed at helping reduce the need for and ultimately replace paper catalogs.
