“Chromat draws from my background in architecture & urban design to focus on structural experiments for the human body,” – Becca McCharen
Most people dread Mondays. At the Lingerie Journal, we love Mondays. It is the day that helps structure the rest of the week and we’re always looking for a news item or collection that helps us set the tone for each coming day.
With that in mind, we’re excited to showcase a new designer to the Lingerie Journal, Becca McCharen who takes her love and background in architecture to literally shape her lingerie collection – Chromat.
“Chromat draws from my background in architecture and urban design to focus on structural experiments for the human body,” explained Becca. “I’m interested in combining the structural nature of scaffolding, wearable exoskeletons and the intricacies of undergarments.”
The most recent chromat a/w12 cool world collection was inspired by exaggerated constructions of femininity in cartoons, female superheroes and villains and distorted disney characters.
We absolutely love the energy, color and the unique shape and look of Chromat. And we’ve included a generous amount of imagery from the collection that Becca was kind enough to send us for our readers. Take a look at tell us what you think!
