CurveNY August 2013 Preview
In just a few days, CurveNY opens its doors to buyers and press from around the world. With over 200+ brands and some new developments, we’re excited to see what this edition of CurveNY will be like. Held at Jacob Javits center from August 4 – 6, 2013, this season marks the first time the trade event coincides with New York City’s Lingerie Market Week.
New Curve Developments
Visitors to CurveNY should note a few new developments to the show.
Firstly, the show organizers added a new, dedicated space for upcoming designers and brands called the “Gallery”. Centrally located in the Curve show space, brands such as Kisskill, Anais B., Body Hush, Donna Reis, Mirame Swim, and Sokoloff amongst others will be featured in this area. “The creativity and comfort level make these brands perfect for retailers in search of novelty and fashion-forward lines,” noted the trade show organizers.

Buyers can also expect to see “The New Account Program” in NY. This incentive-based program rolled out by Curve works as follows: every time a buyer opens a new account at the show with a new brand, their name will be entered in a sweepstakes. Prizes such as a to Paris, travel gifts such as luggage, hotel nights and other surprises noted Curve. A full list of the program’s rules can be found on their website at: curvexpo.com.

The show’s VIP program makes its way from Vegas to NY this year as well. The program offers VIP lounge access and other exclusive services.
In addition to the traditional roster of brands, more than 60 new domestic and international brands will make their debut at Curve’s shows in New York and Las Vegas. Brands like Tia Lyn, Charmante, Dolores Cortes, Fortnight Lingerie, Invisibra, Kibys, Lionella, Nichole de Carle, Peixoto, and Sunday Intimates fall into this category.
