The team at UK-based Curvy Kate just sent us in some beautiful images from their Autumn/Winter 2011 collection and we wanted to share with our readers these new additions to Curvy Kate and Showgirl by Curvy Kate.
About the collection
Curvy Kate is specifically designed for the fuller bust. The company’s goal is to offer fashionable lingerie that both flatters and supports the shapely figure from a D – K cups. They also cater for the growing demand for small back sizes, with styles available from 28 – 40 backs.
The Showgirl range offers something unique to the plus cup market with lightly padded balcony styles and plunge bras for the ultimate lift and support. Using a glamorous combination of lace, satin, delicate embroidery, with a range of racy briefs, these bras are available up to a J cup.
“Fit comes first in all aspects of our design but we also look at how to compliment the fuller figure. We strive to offer something a curvy girl would love to wear everyday and something they can’t find currently on the market. We aim to offer curvy girls fun and flirty lingerie whilst not forgetting the importance of fit,” said the company.
The Autumn/Winter 2011 collection is “sexy and seductive whilst remaining playful and fun.”
The AW11 collection is bursting with deep, warm hues with inspiration from precious stones. Colors include deep grape, emerald, amethyst, vivid pink and ocean blues mix with gold. Also carried through are the staple continuity colors including the new Emily nude, which looks great on a variety of skin tones and has been produced due to demand from retailers.
Lottie – The Lottie bra was designed by Sarah Greenwood, winner of the DMU project 2010 – ‘Create a Curvy Kate’. The bra encompasses a firm satin lower cup with pretty floral embroidery on the top half. It gives a great lift and the bright colors compliment the colorful collection.
Romance – This pretty embroidered bra offers delicate embroidery with cute swirl detailing is inspired by French boudoir and vintage lace.
The company noted that for their Autumn/Winter 2011 brochure, “we have used four models ranging from F cups to HH cups to show how well our product fits and compliments a curvy figure. All our models were found through the annual Star in a Bra model search. The next competition begins in February.”
