“I felt like Aphrodite herself, ready to embrace my inner goddess and cast a love spell.”

February 14th is a day that evokes a lot of varied feelings for many people. Whether you are planning a candlelit dinner for two or doing a Galentine’s brunch with your single gal pals, there is one universal truth to this date—and that is red lingerie.
Adore Intimates is one of my favorite up-and-coming lines. Their dedication to fashion-forward, daring styles that won’t break your wallet makes me a repeat customer. So when they announced a capsule collection in fiery, ruby red hues for V-day, I was quite literally shot by Cupid’s arrow.
“Red is the new black this season, being the universal language of seduction that requires no translation.”
Valentine’s Day lingerie shopping is no time for boring basics. Step away from the cotton hipsters and t-shirt bras! We are blessed with one frivolous day a year to live out our negligee fantasies and treat ourselves (and our significant other) to something purchased solely for the sake of beauty and lust. You are not shopping for an everyday bra, you are shopping to create a moment. Be daring and bold and try a new style you’d normally never dare to wear.
Adore by Allure clearly chose “dare!” for their new collection. A cage body mermaid dress, a sexy sheer hoodie, and bodysuits with CAPES?! One could imagine this avant-garde collection on the pages of a high fashion editorial. It makes my heart burst with pride and love with how their design style has evolved. But maybe that was Cupid’s doing.
The hands down best part of this collection? Lingerie that can double as outerwear. And who wouldn’t want to wear delectable lingerie out on their Valentine’s date to set the mood? The bodysuits pair brilliantly with pants or a skirt, one of my favorite date night looks. I was sent the Coco sequined bodysuit and cape to try and let me tell you—Va-va –VOOM!
For my V-day dinner, I’m pairing it with leather leggings and high heeled boots. Or if you’re a fabulous single lady out with your gal pals, rock it with a skirt to be the lady in red. Throw on a fur coat to beat the February chill, and you’re living your best Moulin Rouge life.
“Adore Holiday is perfect for a stunning fashion statement in or out of the bedroom” marketing director Peline Kurtdarcan notes.
After the wine has flowed and romantic words have been exchanged, the Coco set evolves into the ultimate boudoir piece with the addition of a sheer tulle cape. Yes, I said cape. Forget robes—they are so 2018. Adore leads us into uncharted territory, gifting us with sheer butterfly capes as lingerie cover-ups. “The decadent sheer Coco cape will add a splash of drama to anything you are wearing (or not wearing),” says Peline.
Donning a cape with negligee felt luxurious and at the same time empowering. I felt like Aphrodite herself, ready to embrace my inner goddess and cast a love spell.
I’m a sucker for anything sparkly and the Coco bodysuit is fulfilling all my sequined showgirl dreams. Ribbons of sequins snake their way up the sheer mesh body, just grazing the breasts and transitioning into a sequined collar at the neck.
I adore high neck intimates, I think it’s such a beautiful modern update as opposed to over-done cleavage. Covered décolletage leaves a little more to the imagination, and is flattering on both small and larger bust sizes. The Coco bodysuit is a fit masterpiece, sure to be a knockout on any body type.
As seen in the photos, I’m wearing a size medium, I’m a size 6 and 5’9”, the bodysuit was mercifully long enough for my height. The risqué, full-length gold zipper makes getting it on (or off) not only easy but also incredibly seductive. Slimming cap sleeves are expertly paired with uber high leg lines that make your legs look a mile long. Perfect to get your French girl on with a can-can or private burlesque routine. Adore encourages you to “savor the feeling of looking drop dead gorgeous in this body-hugging whirlwind of sheer & sparkles.”
Allure quickly became my lingerie fairy-godmother with the launch of the Adore Holiday Collection. There are many talented designers to shop with, who can also make beautiful garments, but the ability to create well-executed fashion that’s affordable is truly a feat. Their ruby red holiday collection transitioned seamlessly from Christmas to Valentine’s Day, and I for one, am completely and utterly smitten. We hope cupid’s arrow will strike you, too and invite you to “have a deliciously romantic Valentine’s Day, sweetened with Adore.”
