Over the last ten years Fantasy Lingerie has been growing a brand that delivers well-made styles that strike all the right cords with stylish, lingerie lovers. We were thrilled to get the details on the past decade from Senior Tech Designer, April Andrada and Merchandise Director, Primrose Boon. Read on for their tops trends and styles from 2019, and beyond.
Do you have any bestsellers that are still going strong?
Primrose Boon: Our product assortment for our brand has been a good breadth but less depth which helps create more versatility in our designs to market to a larger market. We have merchandised our collections and have specifically offered designs that cater to each wearer.
In order to provide the customers with what we need, we have provided a wide variety of lingerie products for “every body” with varied tastes. Some of our top styles from our latest collections are below:
Naughty and Navy (V727) and Rose and Thorn (V723) are part of our VIXEN collection which is fashionable styling based on the latest trends at affordable prices. The silhouettes are both classic and modern with trendy styling like caged details or color hues.
AF801 and AF802:
The Vibes collection this year has been a new product offering to cater to a more socially conscious market. Each style has been designed for the wearer to express themselves or a “vibe”.
The most popular set has been our Plaid print microfiber bra set and matching Skater skirt style with the words “F*CK OFF”. We are very excited to launch our latest collection as we have been getting very positive feedback for this collection altogether.
Nightshade (SF907) is from our Sheer Fantasy collection, which is an assortment of body stockings and hosiery. We have definitely seen a rise in popularity for these styles as they have become more mainstream with celebrity lingerie lines and nightclub styling. The Nightshade is a Gartered Teddy Bodystocking with an Open Panel Panty. The look of complete lingerie set in one piece!
The P489 Monique is a longline bra with moulded cups and caged detail paired with a high waist panty with detachable garters.
What lingerie trends this year were your favorite and why?
April Andrada: Caged and strappy lingerie styles are a versatile detail in lingerie this year with options ranging from sweet to sexy and provocative. Also, neons have been a classic throwback to the 80s and 90s. Dayglow colors are always a great way to give lingerie styles that pop of color.
What about lingerie trends from this decade—what stands out to your team the most from the last ten years of lingerie styling and designing?
April: The last ten years there has been an increased awareness in the lingerie industry for styles to not only look good, but also feel good on. Fabrics are softer and silhouettes are more comfortable. Fit is now more valued in a brand. Because lingerie is the most unforgiving of all garments, there is no hiding a poorly fitting bra or panty. The style needs to conform to the body correctly in order to fit well and further enhance one’s figure.
