First penned in 1970s by a feminist bookstore in NYC “The Future is Female” has moved on with a vengeance. Its modern day usage is a hipster slogan blowing up on instagram.
The simple saying adorns sweatshirts and pins endorsed by the likes of Cara Delevingne and Hillary Clinton. But what does the “The Future is Female” mean for lingerie?
Instead of marketing lingerie in the traditional sense of let’s look sexy for our man, “The Future is Female” says let’s look sexy for ourselves. More and more lingerie brands are taking into account the modern day feminist.

Women now own their sexy, embrace their femininity and adorn their body in the type of lingerie that makes them feel awesome. It can be a small simple thread in women’s life like wearing lingerie that lights them up inside and leads them to connect to their future power.
Who knew wearing silky sexy or lace sheer lingerie would make women feel so fiercely female. How can your brand connect to this new era of feminist?
