Halto, New Swimwear Accessory
“If you, like millions of other fabulous women, suffer with neck pain and discomfort when wearing a halter neck bikini or swimsuit, then you will simply adore Halto.“
The team behind Tutti Rouge fuller bust lingerie were recently announced as world-wide agents for Halto, a new swimwear accessory designed to alleviate the neck pain felt by women when wearing halter neck swimwear.
The simple device stops the painful tie-knot from halter neck swimwear digging into the wearer’s neck by providing a discreet, squishy cushion, but also helps to redistribute the weight effectively through its clever core design. Halto was created by sisters Lerryn Ryall and Lucy Cox, from Cornwall, England.
Now backed with the support of the team at Tutti Rouge, Halto will be made available to stores and retailers world-wide.
Lucy explains “The average bra size in the UK is a 34DD, with a total ‘boob’ weight of approximately 7lbs. With a halter neck style, the wearer is bearing around 85% of that weight around their necks. Consider that most bikini straps are very thin and have a knot-tie resting on the sensitive part of the neck, and you can start to see the problem. Symptoms range from redness and bruising where the garment ‘digs in’, to much more serious complaints of blistering, headaches and musculoskeletal damage.”
Lerryn adds, “Results from our national market research fundamentally changed the potential for this product, taking it from a niche offering to an international, mass-market product.
“The research also highlighted that around 80% of the swimwear available on the UK high street for the last two years running has been of halter neck design, offering very little choice for women who find them uncomfortable, or even unbearable.”
The two sisters and hardworking mumpreneurs behind the brand, raised over £11,000 in 28 days on Crowdfunder via preorders for the innovative neck-saving device in February 2016 and have caused quite a stir with their quirky video marketing tactics.
