“Within the noise and millions of details in her day, she can rely on Hanro for their classic design, luxurious fabrics, and a few surprising delights.”

Whenever I think of Hanro, I think of the softest and most sophisticated fabrics. I’m not alone in this. The brand is well known for their fabrics. Continuing in this rich history, the Spring/Summer 2016 collection will awe and inspire you with new material innovations, size range offerings, and stylistic pleasures.

A highlight of the collection, the Lulu group uses Hanro’s Leavertronic technology, which allows panties to be crafted from one piece of fabric, resulting in minimal seams. Lay flat lace leg openings and waistbands in the three bottom silhouettes are complimented by three bra styles. The underwire Lulu bra is available in cup sizes A to D, another trend for this season’s collection. “Building on our success from the introduction of our first Cotton Sensation DD Cup sized soft cup bra, most of our bras for Spring 2016 are now offered up to a D cup, and in a number of instances to DD” says Jan Snodgrass, US President of Hanro.

This is a notable evolution of the brand’s size offerings, especially for fuller busted US customers. Groups like Elisa and Elana, both available up to D cup, combine bold color and subtle feminine charm, and offer several best selling bra and lingerie silhouettes. Their playful color offerings will make these true stunners on the sales floor.

Coral, purple, and blue hues dominate the Spring/Summer 2016 collection. Colors like electric blue, grape, deep sea, indigo, and nectarine, lobster, electric coral and Bellini, wash the line sheets in richness and vibrancy. Along with the richness, familiar soft and serene shades play their part in the Hanro color story. And along with their well-known solids, this season also features color blocking, asymmetrical embroidery, and contemporary geometric details. These new additions retain the Hanro sensibility that creates life long fans. With this Spring/Summer 2016 collection, it’s as if all of your Hanro favorites are there, along with the friendly invitation to travel someplace new.

One such contemporary geometric element is the eye catching Milå group. These silky sleep and loungewear offerings feature an eye-catching print. “For Spring/Summer 2016, we wanted to add in the element of a more graphic print. One that maintains the elegance and simplicity that is iconic HANRO. The Mila print is a creative use of both shape and color and was inspired by the unique architecture of Barcelona”, explains Snodgrass.

“The ability to create these fabrics ourselves gives us expertise in the materials that we use and first access to the latest and best technologies in fabric development.” Jan Snodgrass, US President of Hanro.

The Maria group combines the excitement of a geometric element with the softness of a new kind of material: Sea Island Cotton. The material, first introduced in the 2015 men’s underwear collections, will see its debut in the women’s line in this Spring/Summer 2016 collection. Hanro describes it as “the softest and most exclusive cotton in the world.”

No stranger to fabric innovations, Hanro is able to achieve such greatness by manufacturing their own material in their Austrian facilities. “The ability to create these fabrics ourselves gives us expertise in the materials that we use and first access to the latest and best technologies in fabric development”, describes, Snodgrass. Hanro is well known for their cottons, natural fiber combinations like wool and silk, cotton and silk, and silk and cashmere. In addition, their “Touch Feeling” microfiber line has a softness and buttery texture you cannot resist.

Another fabric evolution came a few years ago when Hanro introduced a new form of mercerization. This creates a softer fabric that, in the case of sleepwear, has a superior drape not typically achieved with 100% cotton. This material makes its return in several of the Spring/Summer 2015 groups. Most notabable are the striking Eva and Yolanda styles. Eva is rich with opulence, with its deep colors and asymmetrical floral embroidery. And Yolanda is a new interpretation of a Hanro classic, with semi-transparent embroidery and light, ethereal hues.

Many of Hanro’s clothing designs blur the lines between sleepwear, loungewear, activewear, and fashion apparel. Instead of diluting their place in a niche market, the effortless designs transition so easily that they ultimately expand the world of Hanro. Perhaps their versatility reflects the modern woman, who must easily navigate her many roles of womanhood in a single day: mother, boss, lover, friend, errand runner, cook, hostess, entrepreneur, and daydreamer. Within the noise and millions of details in her day, she can rely on Hanro for their classic design, luxurious fabrics, and a few surprising delights.
