How to Use Eucalan Delicate Wash on Your Curvy Couture Intimates
When it comes to laundering our intimates, many of us simply throw our everyday undies and bras into the washing machine. However, do this and you’ll find that you will quickly be throwing those bras and undies into the trash after they stretch out, tear or lose their underwires from the rigorous rinse cycle.
Nice lace intimates need to be treated more delicately. With Eucalan delicate wash it is easy to give your undies the attention they deserve and help extend their life. I recently reviewed the Crocheted Lace Halter Bra from Curvy Couture. I knew these were special pieces that deserved extra care and I turned to Eucalan to keep the matching lace set in top shape.
I received a 3.3 oz bottle of Eucalan’s lavender scent for my test wash. It smells amazing! I admit I was nervous about choosing lavender as sometimes it can be strong and overpowering, but Eucalan has perfectly balanced this scent. It is light and airy but still powerful enough to linger on your fabrics after washing and drying. If you’re not a lavender fan, try one of the brand’s other four scents: the wash also comes in jasmine, eucalyptus, grapefruit, and natural scents, which all smell equally as good.
The 3.3 oz bottle yields approximately 22 hand washes and is sold separately or in a gift pack, which contains each scent. Individual bottles are also sold in 16.9 oz or gallon-sized bottles and single-use packs.
The Curvy Couture crochet lace halter bra and matching hipster panty are both nylon and spandex blend fabrics, this makes laundering fairly easy to do. To wash these pieces, I followed the following steps:
- Fill sink/basin with warm (room temperature) water
- Add 1 teaspoon of Eucalan wash per gallon of water. I used ½ teaspoon since my bathroom sink is small.
- Place delicates in water and swish continuously to get suds completely through the garment.
- Soak for 15 minutes.
- Hand squeeze excess water from the garment, no need to rinse.
- Lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight or heat.
The process is easy to do and takes no time at all so there is really no excuse for throwing your delicate items into the washing machine anymore. After my garments dried, the lace was not outstretched and the color did not fade. The bra and panty still look good as new.
Eucalan can be used on all lingerie delicates as well as baby clothes, which is a big plus for mothers like me!
