“The ILS fashion show is one of my favorites…the show has a true Vegas flare with professional dance numbers and entertainment.” – Tia Lyn, Tia Lyn Lingerie.
The lights dim and everyone’s eyes focus on the runway — a tall brunette wearing a teal brallette and garter set from Tia Lyn Lingerie struts down the stage and instead of pouting at the cameras in the press box, she snaps two leather floggers at the crowd.
The crack of leather gets their attention and buyers start shouting for more! The model twirls and teases the audience with another salvo of snaps.

This is a typical scene at the International Lingerie Show’s (ILS) Fashion Runway Show held at every edition of this Vegas-based trade show. It’s the highlight of the three-day event showcasing a huge variety of looks from exhibiting brands to visiting buyers and press.

“Fashion shows are always fun and lively ways to get a peek at the latest fashions, so we are grateful to have the opportunity to get our brand out on the catwalk each season!” – Lar Hovsepian, Dreamgirl.
And most of all, it’s fun! The ILS Runway Show is a bombastic celebration of lingerie, accessories and pleasure products for everyone in the industry.
Over 20 models, dozens of looks from a variety of brands and hundreds of attending buyers participate each year. And it’s not restricted to apparel. Pleasure product and accessory brands participate by having their goods walk down the runway with a model (and often thrown into the crowd as freebies!).
“Most of the major vendors use the Fashion Show as a marketing and selling tool,” – Michael Moreira.
The show starts with an introduction from ILS’ Michael Moreira (pictured above) and segues into the show’s opening — a coordinated dance routine with several models showing off looks from one or a few brands.
But even before Michael or the models hit the stage, a huge team helps put together the entire event.

As Michael explains, it’s a coordinated effort between his team and a modeling agency based in Vegas, the Lenz agency who works with The Rio Hotel’s Electrical contractor and, finally, Encore Presentation Services, who handle all of the Audio Visual sections of the show.
The result is one of the most consistently entertaining trade events for the industry.

“As a lingerie designer, fashion shows are very special to me because it is the moment I get to see my designs come to life. Since my collection is designed for full busted woman in a full size range from small to a curvy 3X, the runway is where woman can see how my collection fits on models they can relate too,” said designer Tia Lyn. “The ILS fashion show is one of my favorites. Not only is it one of the most fabulous fully catered industry parties, the show has a true Vegas flare with professional dance numbers and entertainment. If you haven’t been to ILS, pack your bags. My brand is celebrating it’s 25th International Lingerie Show!”

The show also helps put brands on buyer’s radars. Many brands report buyers coming to their booth the following days looking for the looks showcased the night before.
“Most of the major vendors use the Fashion Show as a marketing and selling tool,” added Michael. “We have found this to be the most cost effective form of advertising their lines at the show.”

“I feel it’s a true benefit to have our styles showcased on the runway because it brings each piece “to life” from the way it fits on the beautiful models to the way it flows on the their bodies in the numerous dance numbers,” added Lar Hovsepian, Director of Marketing for Dreamgirl. “Fashion shows are always fun and lively ways to get a peek at the latest fashions, so we are grateful to have the opportunity to get our brand out on the catwalk each season!”
The show is always held on the first night of the show within the ILS Venue, the Rio Hotel, ensuring there’s no excuse to miss the event. Buyers need only walk out of the exhibit hall and towards another room.
