ILS Show September 2011 Preview

ILS Show Preview

Arguably the largest US lingerie trade show, the International Lingerie Show opens its doors again this September 19th – 21st at the Rio Hotel. The Lingerie Journal team has tickets in hand and will head out this week for Vegas to cover ILS. In the mean time, we wanted to give our readers some highlights.

Why Go? A Retailer’s Perspective

At the last ILS, we caught up with Adam & Eve Greensboro manager, Lisa Morel and asked her why she attends.

Take a look:

The show is also a great opportunity to find lingerie brands at a variety of wholesale price points. “Buyers come from all over the world to see this show. The tone of the show definitely leans to the sexy and adult, although there are lines offering daywear, intimate apparel, mainstream sleepwear and loungewear,” said the show. “[ILS] also features dancewear, clubwear, swimwear, sexy shoes, hosiery and associated items. You can find adult novelties of EVERY kind and description.”

Brand Features

We also wanted to share with our readers some of the brands that we’ve been covering lately and highlight what they’ll be showcasing at ILS.

Baci will be showcasing it’s Black Label Collection at ILS and taking preorders for Dreams by Baci Lingerie which will be shipping towards the end of the year. We also have some exciting pics of the Black Label packaging. Take a look:

“Dreams by Baci Lingerie is a great collection as it is designed to be sold 365 days of the year, not just for Halloween. Since the show, retailers and our exclusive brand owners have been clamoring to pick up the fun bedroom costume collection. After this September’s ILS, we will be in post-production of Dreams by Baci Lingerie and will be preparing to ship the line to our interested retailers,” said Robert Rosen of Baci.

an image of a model wearing a Eurotique CorsetsEurotique, known for its corset collections, is ready to greet buyers with new additions and a new range of plus size corsets.

The company now offers sizes ranging from XS-5X which are standard off the rack sizes for their brand. Every corset that they manufacture is included in this range and the garments are identical whether you are a size 2 or 22. Erica Meyer, Wholesale Manager says “After doing some research we realized that there was not a lot out there for full figured women and what we did find would not be described as “sexy”, it pleases us to be able to offer our corsets in an assortment of sizes and not compromise on design or quality”.

Additionally, the company will showcase their new 2012 collection including steampunk styles and “brand new color combinations and fabrics that will set them apart from standard off the rack garments.”

To see more of Eurotique in person, visit their booth 103 at ILS.
