Journelle kicked off the start of New York Fashion Week (NYFW) earlier this month with a celebration of fashion and lace with their Lingerie Spectacular. Held at The Box in NYC, the event attracted over 60 guests and showcased five lingerie brands.
Models walked, danced and mingled amongst the crowd wearing items by Bordelle, NOE Undergarments, Fleur du Mal, Madame Supertrash and Zinke.
Throughout the evening, several models carried vintage cigarette trays with accessories by Maison Close on display. And a few daring performers executed acrobatics on suspended aerial fabrics and ring above the venue’s stage and bar.
“Claire and I were chatting one day about how to bring lingerie into fashion week. We have so many fashion-leaning designers (and customers for that matter) and we wanted to piggy-back on the excitement and spirit of NYFW to showcase some truly special lingerie — which is now more about style and fashion than necessity,” said Allison Beale, marketing director for Journelle.
Beale noted that after the positive response, Journelle is now planning its Lingerie Spectacular as an annual event.
