At the last edition of ILS, we met with Samantha DeMartini, the founder of Kix’ies, a new brand of thigh highs. Her booth stood out at the show with row after row of leg forms sporting her brand’s lovely hosiery collection.
Samantha’s goal with Kix’ies is to offer thigh highs to women no matter their size, shape, or age. ”Every woman deserves to feel comfortable and have fun. So I created Kix’ies to free women from the ‘tights that bind.’” she states.

The debut collection offers six unique styles in four sizes to fit all shapes that are appropriate for work or play. A strong, but gentle silicone grip band keeps the thigh highs in place.

The six styles — Ally, Tiffany, Kimmie, Beth Ann, Annabelle, and Dana Lynn are named after women who had an impact on the Samantha’s life. For example, Ally is named after Samantha’s daughter and Tiffany is named after her sister.
The brand’s name originates in Samantha’s desire to channel a flirty spirit into the collection and also shares more of her family’s personal history.
“I wanted to name them something fun and, well, “kicky” like my mom used to say whenever we wore something cute and sassy,” said Samantha.
Kix’ies also donates a portion of sales to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through its Kix-forward Foundation in honor of Samantha’s father who passed away from Hodgkins Lymphoma in 1995.
At ILS, Samantha showed off her own product along with Kix’ies brand publicist Maile Cabral and 2011 Playmate of the Year, Claire Sinclair. For our readers who missed the show, Samantha sent us a great selection of Kix’ies to share. Let us know what you think.
