La Lame Interfiliere New York
“La Lame is exhibiting at Interfilière because it is a premiere show for fabrics and trims for intimate apparel and swimwear.” Glen Schneer, La Lame.
A sea of fabrics and laces are heading to New York City thanks to the Big Apple edition of the Interfilière show on September 22, 2016. It’s the perfect place for lingerie, swimwear and activewear designers to meet directly with mills and experience the fabrics in person.

One of Interfilière exhibitors, La Lame, Inc., is presenting fabric and trims from three mills: MG2 Creation, Cap Sud and M. Grabher. Each mill specializes in a certain type of fabrics and La Lame’s Glen Schneer said that Low Minimums are available from each mill.
Novelty trims and heat transfer appliqués for intimate apparel, swimwear and sportswear. Innovative products with silicone printing for garment labels and heat transfer Gel wires for Bras. Low minimums are available.
Q&A with Glen Schneer, La Lame
We caught up with Glen recently to talk about these particular mills and why designers should mark their calendars for the show:
Glen, could you tell our readers why La Lame is exhibiting with Interfiliere?
La Lame is exhibiting at Interfilière because it is a premiere show for fabrics and trims for intimate apparel and swimwear. Interfilière is held twice a year in France and all the top mills in Europe exhibit there. La Lame has a long history of representing many of the mills that exhibit at Interfilière so this is a great opportunity to present these mills at Interfilière New York.

What are some particular La Lame products designers you feel should be excited to learn about at Interfilière?
I think the woven stretch from MG2 Creations is very interesting because the fabric is light weight and at the same time offers compression. For swimwear the woven fabric dries very quickly. The Gel wires are new technology as they are an alternative to traditional under wires that can cause health issues. The silicone printed appliqués are very important as they stretch with the material and will not crack as easily and have a longer life.
Activewear and Athleisure are huge right now, what La Lame products are geared towards these categories?
The woven stretch is very interesting for this trend as it is lightweight, has good compression and dries quickly. I also feel the silicone printed appliques have great potential for this market as a decorative effect. For sport bras the Gel wires could be a great alternative for both function and fashion.
If someone wants to make an appointment with La Lame, where and who should we direct them to?
