Lara Intimates Debut Collection
Lara Intimates, created by soon-to-be London College of Fashion graduates Cindy Liberman and Faith Leeves, is a sustainable underwear brand that launched on Kickstarter earlier this month.
Last month, Lara Intimates won the Student Enterprise Challenge at London College of Fashion with a grant of £5,000, mentorship and ongoing support from the university.
Every Lara garment is made from reclaimed fabrics, unused or mis-dyed by large factories or brands. Crowdfunding of £22,500 will help start up the Lara Intimates factory in East London.
In-house production gives the Lara team control over sustainable practices, energy efficiency and allows for a wider size range. Lara bras come in 28A-36E.
The collection includes soft bras, wired bras, briefs, thongs and bodysuits. Sets start at £68 and are all on Kickstarter for £65.

About Lara Intimates
Faith Leeves and Cindy Liberman met on the BA Fashion Contour at London College of Fashion. As the duo gained experience in the lingerie industry, they learned about the not-so-nice parts of the supply chain. Companies they worked for outsourced design and production to other countries, where transparency was near impossible to achieve. The two believed they could create something with better values that women truly wanted to wear.
