Lingerie Fashion Week Announces Preliminary Designer Lineup for FW14
Lingerie Fashion Week®, the first Fashion Week worldwide exclusively created for intimate apparel brands, enters its third season for Fall/Winter 2014 with an exciting roster of domestic and international designers, innovative sponsors and a sprawling new venue. The invitation-only shows will take the stage via Runway, Presentation or Special Exhibition at Canoe Studios in New York, February 20th, 21st and 22nd.
Thrilled to call Canoe Studios home, the new venue houses 20,000+ square feet of sweeping studio space with wraparound views of the Hudson River, offering ample space for Runway Shows and Presentations as well as a centrally-located Sponsor Lounge offering seamless connection between the venue. Canoe is housed within the prestigious Starrett-Lehigh Building at 601 West 26th Street, a creative landmark located in the heart of Manhattan’s gallery district.

The preliminary designer lineup includes: global lingerie powerhouse Affinitas & Parfait, returning for a third season to showcase both Affinitas and cult favorite full bust line Parfait, including a meet-and-greet with Paris based Lead Designer Luly Chen. BRADELIS New York also returns, kicking-off Lingerie Fashion Week® Thursday night as the first Runway Show of the season, followed by a Presentation & Cocktail Reception. Currently counting three New York storefronts including Soho & Madison Ave, the brand offers luxury lingerie for everyday wear; combining the best of American function with Japanese craftsmanship. Veteran FYI by Dani Read presents “The Muse of the Violets,” a collection of aggressive luxury lingerie for the femme fatale with a sinister high fashion edge – and not for the faint of heart.
Taking thigh highs to new heights, Kix’ies Thigh Highs presents “Cirque de Kix’ies”, a presentation featuring special guest performers sure to leave guests in a twist. Launching for FW14, new luxury boudoir wear label LAYNEAU COLLECTION will show via Presentation set to live sounds by the Boudreaux string quartet; while modern-boudoir luxury house Naked Princess takes the Runway with its elegant loungewear and special occasion lingerie. A group Made in the USA Presentation will showcase contemporary lingerie & loungewear from Brooklyn based NaïS, LA based Clare Bare, and Philadelphia based Sophi Reaptress, whose models will be privy to expertly manicured, vegan non-toxic nails provided by Priti NYC (showcasing colorways Tulip Tree Teal, Constant Nymph, Mulberry Jam, Bronze Meteor, Coffee Bush, Chrysanthos, and Nigra).
Digital Media Partner The Lingerie Journal presents ‘Ones to Watch,’ a Special Exhibition featuring new & emerging designers including Arsenic & Vieilles Dentelles, BlackBird Underpinnings, Iris London, Lola Haze and Nevaeh Intimates. The on-dress form Exhibition will be on view throughout the duration of Lingerie Fashion Week®, featuring a VIP cocktail reception and designer meet-and-greet. In a separate Exhibition Friday night, sculpture artist Heather Corey presents “Love Corsetry,” a textural and colorful expression of the corset drawing inspiration from the feminine form and Parisian glamour. Set to share Corey’s vision of feminine motion with the viewer, “Love Corsetry” presents detailed manipulation of (Corey’s own) handmade paper fibers and paper clay in two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms.
Bringing consumers in on the action, the three-day event will wrap with an open-to-the-public Official Closing Benefit on Saturday, February 22nd from 8pm – 10pm. The event will feature a group Exhibition Runway Show bringing back the season’s designers all on one exciting stage, as well as a 2-hour open bar provided by Official Liquor Sponsor BH Group USA. Tickets range from $30.00 (General Admission) to $75.00 (Front Row Seat) with 15% of all ticket sales benefitting non-profit partner Safe Horizon, the nation’s leading victim assistance organization. Safe Horizon responds to child abuse, domestic violence, and other violent crimes in New York City to help victims and their families heal and rebuild their lives.
