The Lingerie Selection (TLS) is making 2017 a year-long celebration of lace.

This is by design. The show’s founders, Maggie Gillette, Alessandra Baker and Melissa Franchi are crafting the TLS as an experience buyers (and consumers) can enjoy throughout the year – a welcome change to the lingerie world!
Their two-day trade show ties together the other events (trunk shows, pop ups, and upcoming seminars). And the latest edition of the TLS wrapped up earlier this month with a two-fold increase in visitors, a press breakfast and a networking cocktail event.

Visiting buyers were treated to lingerie and accessories from nine brands:
Alessandra Mackenzie, The Giving Bride, Nevaeh Intimates, Suzy Black, Uwila Warrior, Etched Lingerie, Loulette Lingerie, Tyes by Tara and Taryn Winters.
The Selection’s sun lit venue, Daylight Studios, helped show off upcoming SS18 looks, new styles and debut collections.
Latest Lingerie Selection
This season saw four new-to-TLS brands enter the show’s roster: Taryn Winters, Etched, Loulette Lingerie, Uwila Warrior, and Tyes by Tara.
A New York designer, born in the costume closet of her childhood ballet studios, Taryn Winters illuminates femininity and grace with her unique and elegant designs. The designer defines her classical training with delicate details and attention to beauty. With various mediums and materials, she understands the importance of organic movement and its relations to exquisite lines and what it means to design for a woman.
“Etched with precision and detail, Etched lingerie is created to support, elevate and empower the full busted woman.” – Ellana Krechmaras.
At the Lingerie Selection, Etched showcased their new bra that transfers support to the back band, creating superior lift and stability. “With a unique cup, custom components and gorgeous fabric and design, Etched delivers a bra with function and beauty you’ve never experienced before,” said the brand’s founder.
Sea glass, sand grains, endless sunshine…Loulette Lingerie’s Spring 2018 collection was inspired by the beach and was a treat to experience at the Lingerie Selection.
“I love the sea glass colors in the print and I wanted to make things that were light and airy and breezy.” said the brand’s co-founder, LaTimberly Johnson. “I want to make pieces that were more versatile. Pieces that could be worn at home, at the beach or just out on the town.”
Robes, bodysuits, cover ups and lingerie sets for Spring 2018 were all named for or have something to do with bodies of water. “The names come from many different languages and I just felt they all sounded beautiful.” added LaTimberly.
Uwila Warrior’s collections feature ornate lace, spirited colors, cheeky sayings, and cuts made for the modern woman. At the Lingerie Selection, one of the latest collection’s shown to buyers were the brand’s Bridal styles. The nuptial lingerie pieces feature all of the quality and energy that the brand is known for.
Tyes by Tara
Tyes by Tara is the first accessory brand to exhibit with the Lingerie Selection. The brand’s founder and designer, Tara Stravinsky displayed her signature collection of erotic tyes, feminine jewelry and new items like her new Leg Tyes (garters) and Bra Tye (pictured above).
Returning Lingerie Selection
Suzy Black, the Giving Bride, Alessandra Mackenzie, Nevaeh Intimates returned for this edition of the TLS with new collections and updates.
Suzy Black’s SS18 collection, Gypsy, is a head turner! Shades of gold, bold stripes, sheer panels and touches of smoldering red keep your eyes glued on all of SS18 styles. Pictured above is Suzy Black’s founder Diondra Julian wearing the SS18 Cocoa Robe.
the Giving Bride
For SS18, the Giving Bride’s founder, Maggie Gillette says textiles do the talking. She adds:
“In addition to the beautiful silks and laces that the Giving Bride has used in the past, for this collection we introduced two new silk and lurex blends. These fabrics combine the exquisite beauty of silk chiffon with a metallic shimmer, creating a dreamy model bridal collection just begging for a boudoir shoot!”

Bold prints and vibrant colors mark the upcoming Spring/Summer season for Alessandra Mackenzie’s luxurious collection of loungewear pieces. We loved the Audrey Night shirt (pictured above) and the Ashley Sleeveless Top. Also on display was the designer’s Classic Collection.
Alessandra Mackenzie is made in the heart of New York City’s Garment District.
A Tale of Desire and Obsession are two of Nevaeh’s most stunning collections and we were able to see both and a few more at the Lingerie Selection. The Obsession collection is inspired bythe sensualityand glamour of old Hollywood’s Clara Bow, Marlene Dietrich, and LouiseBrooks. Gracefully fusing classic silhouettes imbued with afemme fataletemper, the collection features sultrycolors such asRaspberry Glace, Lovely Lavender,Blue Allure, and MidnightSeduction.
A Tale of Desire is a collection that embodies foreplay, featuring pieces with sleek peek-a-boo openings and delicate cutouts, adorned with fine transparent mesh that leads the imagination to intoxicating ecstasy.
