Little Bra Company Signature Collection
“Through the years, we have discovered that not all petite customers are alike…” – Emily Lau, the Little Bra Company
This year marks 10 years in business for The Little Bra Company (TLBC)! This petite lingerie brand is a fan favorite for catering to a size range rarely represented by most mainstream brands. Petite lingerie is an important and often overlooked section of the intimates industry. Many incorrectly assume that petites can easily shop within the size range offered by most brands.

As lingerie designer, Emily Lau, explains “There is a big misconception that petite women don’t need to wear bras at all, or that the bras on the market now are already made for them”. This sentiment often leaves women at the smaller end of the bra size spectrum feel left out of the lingerie shopping experience. Luckily, The Little Bra Company is the small bras expert and in addition to their colorful seasonal styles, they now have their own collection of everyday basics, entitled the Signature Collection.
TLBC Innovation: Wide-Set and Narrow-Set Designs

The key to a flawless silhouette starts with a solid foundation of well-fitted undergarments. The TLBC Signature line offers bra wardrobe essentials available in basic color variations, such as, nude, black and pearl. Available in sizes 28-38 A, 28-36 B and 28-34 C, these bold basics provide a great introduction to The Little Bra Company for someone who is new to the brand.
Many of the silhouettes available in their Signature Collection often inspire their seasonal styles, so this is a great way for retailers to gauge which styles work best for their customers.

In addition to their specialized sizes, The Little Bra Company has also specified the fit of their bras into two different categories: wide-set and narrow-set.
Designer Emily explains, “Through the years, we have discovered that not all petite customers are alike. Even within this size category, some women have closer-set breasts and some have wider-set breasts. Just like jean companies design for different body types, so do we now. One of my goals when starting TLBC, was to give women like me more fashionable intimate apparel options, and now we are also giving them more styles to fit their specific body type better”.
“Lovely Lucia is cleavage-enhancing, with deep-plunging cups and convertible straps.”
One example of their narrow-set bras is their best-selling style, the Lucia (pictured above). This silhouette is ideal for close-set breasts, which have breast tissue on top or centered towards the middle of the chest. Lovely Lucia is cleavage-enhancing, with deep-plunging cups and convertible straps. The Lucia is the perfect day to night bra as the stretch lace makes its feel sexier than your average t-shirt bra. The Lucia has been such a customer favorite, that it has been featured in numerous publications, including InStyle Magazine and The New York Times.

Lucia’s biggest competition in the Signature Collection is the Yvonne bra. This gorgeous smooth-cup bra has contoured push-up padding for a natural-looking boost. The Yvonne has a wider-set fit and is perfect to wear under T-shirts for a seamless look. The lace detailing along the band and shoulder strap make this bra both functional and feminine. As a wider-set demi-cup style, this bra offers the perfect amount of coverage and contour for wearers who have breast tissue under their arms or for those whose breast shape is fuller on the bottom is in need of more coverage on sides.
As you may have noticed, all of the styles from The Little Bra Company have women’s names. This is a personalized touch from their designer who names all of the bras after the wonderfully supportive friends and family members in her life. Emily gushes, “…without them, I wouldn’t be able to do what I do professionally or personally”.

This thoughtful touch brings a story to every bra. For example, the Celeste bra is a full coverage, longline, push-up bra that offers an extra-wide band, thicker straps, and additional underarm coverage for smoothing and shaping in the right places. Emily thought to name this bra after her dear friend Celeste as “…she is the kind of friend who supports you from behind-the-scenes in order to let you shine”. In addition to this back smoothing support, the Celeste has optional push-up pads and convertible straps that makes this a great customizable style for the petite bra shopper.

With the approach of summer comes the dreaded bra shopping for that quintessential strapless bra. Strapless bras are a notorious pain for petites as the band sizes offered by most brands are too loose, leaving the petite wearer to a day full of adjusting and discomfort. In addition to problems with the band, the cups aren’t pattern for the petite frame and don’t flatter the wearer or provide any boost to the bust-line. In order to solve this problem, The Little Bra Company created the perfect strapless for a petite frame, the Sascha. The Sascha has removable push-up padding and appears seamless under clothes. Available in two different nude shades, black and ivory, the Sascha can be worn as a special occasion bra or as an everyday bra by attaching the additional straps.
More than a pretty Lace
Another common complaint for the smaller busted customer is the need for a flattering sports bra. Most sports bra focus on compression and therefore, minimize the bustline, which is not desirable for the petite bra wearer. Smaller busts don’t require as much compression and furthermore, with the trend of athleisure being as popular as it is, many women now wear their sports bra outside of the gym and want to feel confident. Enter the Elizabeth Bra (pictured above). This best-selling petite sports bra is available in petal, black and ivory and features lightly contoured cups and a rounded seam to flatter smaller bust-lines. The bra’s racerback design and soft elastic band make the Elizabeth bra a comfortable and flattering fit.
The Signature Collection from The Little Bra Company provides a complete bra wardrobe for the petite customer. Not only are these styles great for everyday wear, but they are also very well-fitting. After 10 years in the lingerie industry, Emily Lau says “…one thing that has not changed is the importance of fit” for The Little Bra Company.
This dedication to fit and style has served the company well and has created an extremely loyal fan base for this petite lingerie brand. Try their Signature Collection and you too will be a believer in their trademarked phrase, “Good things do come in small packages”.
