Lost in Wonderland SS14
“State of Wonderland”
Lost in Wonderland’s third collection offers fans of this Berlin-based brand a sexier, edgier and still feminine offering of intimate apparel. Appropriately titled, “State of Wonderland”, the new collection’s look book evokes a variety of images and emotions from folkloristic fairies to modern day goddesses enjoying a season of sunshine and lace.
It’s a stunning collection by the American-born designer and founder, Scarlett Großelanghorst. We recently spoke with Scarlett by phone earlier this month to learn more about her current AW13 collection and were drawn in by her descriptions for SS14.
“Fine black elastics pass over the panties and along the bras’ edges, while small bows, with even smaller golden rings interrupt the harmony,” says Scarlett of one of SS14’s looks. “The rings, in combination with the contrast stitching lead our mind to a teasing Betty Page. First dominant, but smiling and full of femininity.”
When we opened up the brand’s SS14 images work stopped on all of our other projects so we could start sharing this story with our readers. Lost in Wonderland is already available in Europe, Australia and Canada with Scarlett looking at expanding into the American market as well. Recently, she partnered with industry consultant Thomas Landschof to help with international sales.
Scarlett notes that while the new collection does carry an intense attitude and evokes a lot of mood –- it is still down to earth as the designer likes to describe it. To her this means the lingerie is suitable for everyday use, “even though it is nearly too sublime to cover & hide it. It wants to attract attention. But not intentionally.”
“First dominant, but smiling and full of femininity.”
We’ll have more on Lost in Wonderland including a look at the brand’s current collection. In the mean time, we hope our readers will enjoy images from State of Wonderland.
