Parisian women have that certain je ne sais quoi that envelopes them in utter chicness from the moment they wake and well into the night. Imagine a day in the life of a Parisian woman with me, thanks to Madame Aime General Manager, Maud Funaro: “On a cold and rainy Sunday, Madame Aime would enjoy cocooning in our loose silk pants ‘Prodigieuse’, matched with the ‘Rue des Mauvais Garçons’ camisole for a chic and feminine note and wraped in our ‘Tuileries’ knit kimono. If Madame Aime were to go to work, she could wear these very same pants with our tank top “Voleuse” and a smart jacket, accessorized with stilettos.” Tres chic.

“The loungewear and ready to wear components of the collection weave seamlessly into the collection…Every item works perfectly in harmony or can stand alone.”

For Madame Aime’s AW 2015 collection, lingerie is just the start. Built as an extension of its underpinnings, the loungewear items use similar patterns, materials, and “urban vegetation” influence. The loungewear and ready to wear components of the collection weave seamlessly into the collection. The bra may match with the blouse, or the skirt echoes the same detail as the lingerie. Every item works perfectly in harmony or can stand alone.

When asked why Madame Aime elected to expand from lingerie into ready to wear, Funaro exclaimed: “Not only is it an in-depth market trend, but it is also engraved into Madame Aime’s DNA.” She noted that the brand has always placed importance of lingerie as the very center of the feminine wardrobe with the option to mix and match layering elements. The play between “indoor and outdoor” wear is not unique to Madame Aime, but rarely does a brand deliver the notion with such eloquence and attention to detail.

“When exploring the Madame Aime AW 2015 collection, you will find tanks, blouses, pants, cardigans, kimonos, dresses, skirts, and even a petticoat.”

A common theme in the Madame Aime presentation is the phrase “Madame Aime keeps playing with her moods constantly”. I can relate. The Madame Aime collection personifies the very essence and complexity of being a woman. The soft silk, tulle, and warm colors stand out against sharp graphic seams and precise details. The strong, chic urban appeal melds with the botanic inspired Leaver’s lace and earthy hues. This collaboration and contrast is femininity in its truest, most elegant, and unapologetic terms.

When exploring the Madame Aime AW 2015 collection, you will find tanks, blouses, pants, cardigans, kimonos, dresses, skirts, and even a petticoat. The breadth of offerings is superb. And this is in addition to their lingerie and underpinning options. I had the pleasure of witnessing the previous collection and I can assure you that this brand is sensual. It deserves to be touched in person, felt against your skin, and seen among the entire carefully crafted and curated collection.
