Mish Unveils #FreeTheSqueeze Campaign

Cornish based Lingerie Company, Mish, is helping teach women across the country, the benefits of a great fitting bra, and how to spot a badly fitting one, with their new campaign, #FreeTheSqueeze.

To celebrate the launch of #FreeTheSqueeze, Mish is offering one lucky lady the chance to win a year’s supply of lingerie, which includes, 12 sets of bras and knickers by Freya, Fantasie and Elomi. The giveaway launched on 13th January and runs until 13th March. Applicants can enter online via the Facebook page; Mish Online or alternatively, entry forms are available in store at Mish, in Bodmin. The winner will be selected at random.

Mish specialises in a vast range of sizes up to a JJ cup along with an excellent fitting service, which empowers ladies of all sizes to find comfortable, beautiful and supportive bras.

“At Mish we try and educate women that bras don’t need to be uncomfortable. It is possible for a bra to be pretty, fashionable, comfortable and supportive all at the same time, we really can have it all! ” Says owner of Mish, Michèle Poynter.

“When I’m giving talks, or demonstrations to large groups, I often talk in terms of shoes and shoe sizes. If I ask an audience if they would be happy wearing a pair two sizes too small, there is always a resounding no!”

“So when I ask, if they wouldn’t do it to their feet, why do they do it to their boobs? A ‘eureka’ moment happens, as the audience realise a better more comfortable fit, might not be that hard to find” said Michèle.

This positive message, has so far been limited to the ladies who have attended Michele’s talks. #FreeTheSqueeze is to spread this message to a greater number of women.

Michèle said “At Mish, we really want to help as many women as possible, know that wearing the correctly fitting bra has a large number of benefits, including reducing back pain and improving posture”.

“With this in mind, we have launched #FreeTheSqueeze, a thought provoking and informative campaign to ask every women, ‘If you wouldn’t do it to your feet, why do it to your boobs?’” Michèle added.

Mish will be releasing much of the material covered in their talks in a series of blog posts over the coming weeks.

They asked several clients and organisations they have worked with, about their bra fitting experience at Mish, and what impact this has had. Katrina McCarron, Image Consultant for House of Colour in Cornwall said “A good fitting bra can totally change the way your clothes fit you. When you look good, you feel so much more confident and it shows on the outside too.”

Whilst Mish customer, Kimberly Hamilton said “It made me reconsider having breast reduction surgery!”
