Missy Noir Lingerie

“Missy Noir women have no interest in being restricted by underwear that conform their body to a cup size, instead choosing to wear pieces that enhance their unique shape, sensuality and individual style.”

If you are tired the shifting, pushing and squishing of traditional smoothing and shaping garments navigate your cursers over to the Australian online boutique, Missy Noir Lingerie. Founder and director, Justene Jones’s site showcases wire-free and non-padded styles that celebrate the female form without compromising it.

“Missy Noir women have no interest in being restricted by underwear that conform their body to a cup size, instead choosing to wear pieces that enhance their unique shape, sensuality and individual style,” says Justene.

“Lingerie for girls who just want to be themselves,” is the store’s tag line. And that’s exactly what you’ll find as you click through the online shop.

Gorgeous lace bralettes, bodysuits and rompers handmade by independent designers from around the world all jump off the pages begging to be brought home.

Each of the items featured on the site fit seamlessly into The Missy Noir woman’s lifestyle. “Enjoying life is what she’s about,” says Justene. “Starting from her wardrobe she picks the bralette to match her mood. Whether she wants to show her favorite pieces off today or not is something she’ll decide herself and she’s out the door ready to take on the world.”

Justene works to build a community around the love of lingerie. She’s focused on promoting a healthy body image and nurturing our own individual style.

The Missy Noir Lingerie Instagram page helps to build this community. “What is it about lingerie that you love?” Justene asks in one post. Another post promoting a giveaway for a lingerie photoshoot encourages women who may be apprehensive about getting behind the camera. “I felt so beautiful with the photographer capturing the best parts of me,” she says.

I keep hearing so much backlash against New Year resolutions. Whilst I haven’t achieved many before, it’s not because they are stupid but because I didn’t set resolutions with any self-love. After all, you are doing it for you and your happiness and not for anyone else. When we set resolutions from a place of self-kindness and act on what we need rather then what we want, self-love will grow. It is healthy to set goals to help achieve our potential. However, why not start small and build from there? You will fail at some or it may take a few attempts to achieve others but none are actually failures if you are able to learn from them. Don’t beat yourself up! Take accountability and learn to accept the choices you have made to allow yourself to grow and be more open to self-kindness.

Photos shared on the social media platform include Australian-based designers such as Kate Ford The Label and Lazy Girl Lingerie. Everything featured draws the eye—“Pops of color, different fabrics and textures, fun and flirty,” says Justene. “You wear the lingerie, the lingerie doesn’t wear you so you can decide how you feel in our range of lingerie as everyone will feel slightly different.”
