MOD by Parfait’s Chic New Autumn/Winter 2019 Collection
MOD by Parfait, the fresh young sister brand to global leader Parfait, has unveiled its new collection for Autumn/Winter 2019. Inspired by some of the world’s most stylish cities, it introduces four new ranges to sit alongside seasonal recolorings of earlier bestsellers.
The New York range is for the feminine fashionista, comprising an on-trend longline plunge bra and hipster brief made from partially-sheer lace. Vintage-inspired buttons and a subtle ruffled trim mean it works for both everyday and special occasions, and it comes in three of the most popular lingerie colors – Black, Racing Red, and Porcelain, a light pink shade.
The lightweight Miami range is designed to have you feeling comfy and carefree. Choose between a bandeau or triangle-cupped bralette, both made from translucent lace and spotted mesh. Available in Black or Blossom, a light blush pink, they’re paired with a shortie brief with a sheer back.
The London range, like its namesake city, has a ‘minimalist cool’ kind of vibe to it. It comes in two everyday essential colors, Black or Porcelain, and features another hipster brief paired with a choice of unlined or contour-cup bra.
Adding to the modern and minimal look, the London pieces are made using an open, almost fishnet-like mesh, and a geometric-patterned trim. The molded bras have an ever-so-slightly longline band with a chic cut-out detail between the cups.
Finally, there’s the Paris range. And what would a lingerie line inspired by the city of love be without a little romance? As well as offering two bra styles and the brand’s signature hipster brief, this fashion-forward collection also includes a high-waist thong and babydoll.
Everything in the Paris range comes in a choice of classic, sultry Black or cabaret-inspired Deep Cherry. Eye-catching scalloped details trim every piece, from the faux V-neck of the babydoll (inset with a mesh panel) to little flourishes on the back of the demi bra which are reminiscent of cherub wings.
Paris is my favorite range by far. I love the flirty, embroidered touches, the color scheme, and the unusual teardrop shape of the demi bra. However, one of the great things about MOD by Parfait’s new collection is that is offers something for almost everyone. There are chic-but-basic looking styles, plus pieces with a more decorative touch.
When I spoke to Amandine Taylor at the brand, she told me that they are most excited “to show the New York line and the bandeau from Miami” at the upcoming CURVENEWYORK exhibition. Bralettes are still a key trend for the year ahead, and longlines are rapidly gaining in popularity too.
One of the things that really makes MOD by Parfait attractive – to customers and retailers alike – is its price point. “MOD by Parfait is targeting a younger customer,” says Amandine. “We want to offer an affordable range of products that will fit the petite, full-busted student”.
Marketed towards students and the younger end of millennials, the styles are modern and the pricing is accessible. Suggested retail prices for the A/W2019 collection run from $16 to $68. But with the expertise and experience of mainline Parfait behind this newer brand, you know the fit and quality will still be there.
MOD by Parfait is, more specifically, targeting the customer who is confident, ambitious and independent. Someone with a flair for style and who likes to follow the latest trends, but who still values support and comfort too. From powermesh fabrics to side boning and side slings, the bras have all been designed with a great fit in mind.
Often, when a lingerie brand launches a diffusion line, you will find that the size range is much smaller. But impressively, MOD by Parfait offers almost as many sizes as the original Parfait brand does. Since launching two years ago, MOD by Parfait has gradually expanded its sizing and now creates products in 32 to 44 bands, A to G cups, and clothing sizes XS to 4XL.
If you’re a retail customer, you’ll be able to check out the new Autumn/Winter 2019 collection for yourself at stand 157 of CURVENEWYORK very shortly. And for those who’d like to shop for themselves, you can expect these pieces to begin hitting the shelves in late July of this year.
