MODA Feb 2012

February is turning out to be the month for trade shows and Moda Lingerie & Swimwear is getting ready to open its doors in February 2012 with a new crop of lingerie and swimwear brands for visiting buyers to enjoy.

“[We're] gearing up for a fantastic season ahead as a host of new signings join a great brand line-up featuring many of the biggest names in the intimate apparel industry,” said the show organizers.

The autumn/winter 12 edition of the show is sponsored by INVISTA Lycra® beauty and takes place from 19-21 February at the NEC Birmingham.

“Retailers will have more choice than ever this season with stunning lingerie, swimwear, nightwear, shapewear, hosiery and loungewear collections to be seen from a host of new arrivals including Scandale, Belly Cloud, Scala, Mammae, Dobotex, Emilio Cavallini, Louise Ferdinand and Bikini Beadz,” said the show organizers.

New this season will be French vintage shapewear label Scandale, which has chosen Moda as its platform for its relaunch back into the UK market. The Sirène Collection will feature vintage-inspired cosmetic lingerie brought up to date with cutting-edge fabrics and technology.

German brand Belly Cloud adds to the roster of newcomers with body sculpting apparel for both everyday and beachwear as well as functional hosiery.

Brazilian label Scala will show the latest in shapewear technology with its impressive range of contouring garments alongside its lace lingerie line. More innovation will be seen from Belgian newcomers Mammae as it presents beautiful yet functional maternity bras designed to make feeding time more discreet and comfortable than ever before.

New international signing Dobotex, the worldwide licencee holders of PUMA Socks and Bodywear, will be in attendance for the first time this season with an eye-catching legwear collection. Meanwhile, Italian hosiery brand Emilio Cavallini, with its reputation for being steps ahead of the fashion trends, makes its Moda debut with innovative designs set to make legwear the wardrobe essential to banish the winter blues.

Moda Rouge, the premium collections area of the show with a designer and directional brand line-up, welcomes UK label Louise Ferdinand this season with its glamorous 1950s-inspired pieces whilst Bikini Beadz will show its range of beautiful waist beads designed in celebration of the female form.
