“I hope that, in walking through the door, my customers experience the enjoyment of being in a beautiful place surrounded by fine objects.” – Holly Boardman, Musée.

There’s a lingerie boutique in New York City’s West Village dealing in the Art of Sexy.

The boutique’s curator? Holly Boardman — a Pratt Institute graduate who combined her love of Art and passion for intimate apparel last summer with the opening of Musée Lingerie. The boutique showcases luxurious lingerie brands and Fine Art for customers to enjoy, experience, and purchase.

“I love the energy and spirit of the West Village and strongly believe in allowing ourselves the pleasure of feeling sexy and beautiful,” said Holly. “At Musée, I curate the lingerie and art, with the idea of pairing them to create a visual masterpiece.”

The result is a gorgeous boutique that is immediately comfortable and engaging.

Musée’s exposed brick walls, windows and displays are arranged with artwork by Rachel Volpone and Skye Holland and lingerie from Nevaeh Intimates, Helen Sanchez, Samantha Chang, Only Hearts, Fleur of England, Bordelle and LoveDay London amongst others.

The mix of brands, artists and items keeps her customers excited and checking in for updates.

“Our mission is to make every trip to Musee an adventure. As part of Musee’s concept, our artwork and the look of our interior space periodically change,” said Holly.

Celebrations of Lace & Paint

Musée also hosts events to draw in the local community and lingerie lovers. The last Sunday of every month is a “Lazy Lingerie” event showcasing a local artist, poet, songwriter, or designer.

“In mid-February, we are planning a gallery opening featuring illustration artist Nancy Bacich and her series of Eve Kitten. Her work is AMAZING!” added Holly. “Customers can also visit our “Events Page” on for upcoming lingerie and art celebrations.”
