Laura, can you tell us a bit about how you came up with this festive scene for Crème Bralée Lingerie?
The holidays are all about spreading cheer, being a bit decadent, and having fun. There is often so much attention paid to glitzy holiday outifts, but what about under outfits? I wanted to portray girls celebrating the holidays decked out in festive Crème Bralée numbers.
Which of Crème Bralée’s lingerie sets did you illustrate for this feature?
My girls wear an assortment of the brand’s pink satin Amanda, red lace Bettina, and lavender embroidered Colette ensembles. To top off the holiday theme, they are merrily garnished in red lipstick, green hair ribbons, and candy cane striped sunglasses.

What do you admire most about the Crème Bralée brand?
Women spend so much time pinching at what society tells them is “excess” on their bodies. They plague themselves with insecurity instead of appreciating their curvy assets. The Crème Bralée line is beautifully designed to encourage women to own their full figured bodies and it has the architecture to keep their curves in check, so women can feel truly comfortable and sexy in their own skin.

Is this why you came up with the tagline, “The More, The Merrier” for this illustration?
It sure was. I love having the opportunity to draw models with full and healthy hips and thighs. The fashion industry is flooded with rail thin models whose hip bones often protrude more than anything else on their bodies. Crème Bralée recognizes that there is a larger audience of curvier women out there and has the goods to ensure that they don’t have to skimp out on any of the fun or the sex appeal.
