The Art of Lingerie: Priscilla Jade

“I wanted to create a visual play on the traditional jail lineup by giving it a fashion twist. Instead of the traditional black and white jail garb, my girls wear Priscilla Jade Lingerie’s racy satin and chiffon stripes.”

TLJ: Laura, you’ve concocted some seriously hot stuff for your Priscilla Jade Lingerie illustration! Can you tell us a bit about how PJL inspired you to come up with this image?

LR: PJL’s line of sultry striped ensembles and ultra naughty peekaboo sheers prompted me to inject a healthy dose of sass into this Art of Lingerie feature. There’s sweet and innocent lingerie, and then there’s lingerie for the girl that’s ready to take a walk on the wild side. I declared PJL as the latter!

TLJ: What about PJL’s Lullaby Collection made you come up with the tagline “Criminally Seductive Lingerie”?

LR: Priscilla Codinach has designed some criminally hot undies for this new collection. I wanted to create a visual play on the traditional jail lineup by giving it a fashion twist. Instead of the traditional black and white jail garb, my girls wear PJL’s racy satin and chiffon stripes. There’s definitely some role play going on here. I’ll also admit, I’ve been watching quite a lot of Orange is the New Black on Netflix–so that may have subconsciously inspired me a bit as well.

TLJ: Speaking of role play, it looks as though you’ve given your character’s iconic long curls a new role for this illustration. Can you tell us a bit about that?

LR: After watching PJL’s Lullaby Collection video by UK videographer Ched53, I was inspired to add 50 shades of curly-haired bondage into my illustration. Throughout Ched53’s video, PJL’s model sports kinky fringe and rope cuffs. I decided to use my girls’ flowing locks as a seductive alternative to the customary cuff. Their coils wind around their wrists and ankles in an oh so playful and seductive way.

TLJ: What do you think lingerie enthusiasts will think of the Lullaby Collection?

LR: Those that are in favor of a little bit of steaminess will be absolutely charmed. Priscilla’s collection is sure to make lingerie fans come hither!
