This year as we kick off the centenary commemoration of World War One (WW1), what better way to do it than with a saucy outfit from up and coming luxury bondage brand, Raine & Bea. Created by designer Jenna Barnes, who launched herself into the industry with her debut collection entitled “Master George”, Raine & Bea is fast becoming a go-to name in luxury bondage and burlesque.
The brand has launched a racy collection, aptly titled, “The Officer’s Mess” for this year’s A/W season, with pieces that will make any woman feel like the treasured sex symbols of decades ago who graced the walls beside many war time bunks. The Officer’s Mess is a sassy take on military shades and a fitting homage to the centenary of WWI and the pin-up girls adored by WWII soldiers.
A sneak peak of the attractive assortment of dress-up pieces was hosted by Calico PR on Wednesday July 23rd 2014 at lush boutique Leggera Nell’Aria on London’s historic King’s Road.

Jenna, who has a passion for lovingly hand sewing the finest details on her work, has again created a collection using exquisite materials such as silk satin, lace, woven gold netting, steel boning, ostrich feathers, power net, gold metal fittings and plush elastics, with some pieces finished using dazzling Swarovski crystal. Officer’s Mess embodies the designer’s love of vintage fashion and risqué shapes.

The collection’s colour trend embraces the muted hues of winter but accentuated with a sensuous delivery of rich burgundy to add sweet depth to this A/W range. However, the bombshell piece in this collection is the raunchy Rear Gunner body in animal print, sure to make onlookers stand to attention.
Fans of Raine & Bea will also certainly fall in love with the ultra-sexy Brigadier bralette and trouser ensemble, beautiful Bombardier slip, mischievous Major Hazard girdle and the signature ostrich feather micro mini skirt in black which has been updated with body-hugging braces.
And the Jenna shows true patriotism as all of her pieces are designed and manufactured right here in the UK, which truly deserves a salute. So now that we know where to get our military kit, it’s time to get out the bright red lippy to finish off the poster girl look.
