The Velvet Room 2012 Collection

Hand made in Italy and loved around the world would be the best way to describe this Italian lingerie brand. Designer Alessandra di Ioia takes it further stating, “The Velvet room is a daring, soft and delicate tailoring project, with completely handmade realized items, characterized by a vintage, romantic and feminine style.”

There are some lovely pieces in this line’s new 2012 collection which includes two ranges, The Official Collection and the EcoChic Project.

The Official Collection is described as being aesthetically inspired by the changing seasons and vintage couture. Pieces are made from quality silk, cotton and satin enriched by ribbons, laces and pearls. It also includes limited edition accessories.

The EcoChic Project is the eco-friendly addition to the Velvet Room’s 2012 offerings. The designer notes that she has used reclaimed cloths and fabrics that reinvented and transformed into a new, original item.

“The Velvet Room handmade items are made by order. The sizes are generally S-M-L but, if request, the customer can ask for a special treatment so is it possible to customize sizes, colors and fabrics,” explained the designer.

We’ve included a few images from the new 2012 collection. Take a look and tell us what you think!
