Unforseen Circumstances Fashion Show and Trunk Show at Lille Boutique

On Friday, December 3, 2010, Lille Boutique will host a Fashion and Trunk Show for New York undergarment company, “Unforeseen Circumstances.”

Founder and head designer, Teo Griscom, obtained her BFA in Painting, Printmaking and Photography from The Art Institute of Chicago in 2002.  She continued her education at Parsons in New York City and The Art Institute of California in Los Angeles, where she focused on Fashion Design. In 2004, she started womenswear label Jackson, Johnson & Roe with childhood friends, and founded UC in 2009. Lille Boutique has been carrying the collection since its launch.

The Fashion Show will be free and open to the public (seating is limited: RSVP mandatory) with doors to open at 7:30pm and the event to begin at 8pm.  Griscom will be debuting her Spring 2011 lingerie collection, which was inspired by Parisian architecture, dance and opera costumes, film and interior spaces. In particular, she was influenced by Powell and Pressburger films, The Red Shoes and The Tales of Hoffman, with the concept of a woman’s intimacy with her boudoir playing a major part in the naming of the collection and inspiring a series of sketches that will be on display as part of Lille’s First Friday Art Exhibition series.  Several exclusive, limited-edition lingerie pieces will be available for sale after the show, and all Fall 2010 styles currently stocked at Lille Boutique will be discounted for one night only until 9pm.

Lille Boutique carries high-end lingerie and swimwear, with an emphasis on vintage-inspired, independent design and natural fibers. The event will be held at 1007 East Burnside Street on the north corner of Tenth Avenue.  For more information, please email info@lilleboutique.com with “Unforeseen Circumstances” in the subject line.
